Why did we have grit in Pittsburgh then go flat at home?

bull.
steelers are a good team.
everybody picked steelers to win that game.
they were gonna do to us what the lions did.
we beat'm and now folks act like the steelers are 0-6.
They claim they love the Cowboys but crap on every good thing they've done lol.

Steelers can beat the Lions. They can beat the Chiefs. They can beat anyone. They have the coaching, they have the defense, they have the history.

Lions probably won't look good against them. If the Steelers can get Goff on the ground early, I bet it affects his accuracy and mobility for the rest of the game. We couldn't get any pressure on him. Last year it was the exact opposite, we got pressure on him and he couldn't get comfortable. That's the kinda game we needed to play - but of course half our defense was injured so maybe this game doesn't mean as much as people are portraying it to mean.

After last year, Detroit had a tremendous amount of motivation to embarrass us. They did that, and continued to do that once the game was out of reach.

Pittsburgh was an ugly game played in the elements that we were fortunate enough to win. Pittsburgh doesn't have near the skill on offense either, and were banged up defensively too. It just wasn't the same personnel.
Notice Dallas winning drive was after the LB opposite Watt that was tearing up Guyton got hurt.

Detroit has weapons at every skill position and a QB that's been to a SB . It’s obvious why the W at Pitt and why the Lions took a leak in the Art Gallery lobby next to owners birthday cake . That team is loaded . Pitt is running an offense made for the 1950’s.

Once detroit got ahead, they did not go to a prevent defense, they kept the pressure on,playing like it was 10-7.
That prevented dak from his usual comeback and garbage stats.

On offense they kept trying to score, kept passing and running their trick plays which fortunately did not work.
They never let up like most teams do.

They did not allow dallas to score points in garbage time like most teams have.

I think pitt on that last drive that won the game for dallas, they went into some sort of prevent defense, because it was suddenly
easy for dallas to move the ball down the field.
They lost the LB opposite Watt which gave Dak more time to throw and the run game room to operate.

I thought the last minute win with toughness and grit in Pittsburgh would carry us for a while. Then at home the team went flat. We are a Jekyll and Hyde team. I want to know what happened between these two games that caused such a stark difference in outcomes. Open thread and taking ideas.....
They don’t believe in the system any longer. They don’t believe in the offense. And the offense doesn’t believe in the defense.

They have a good defense. They have a very average offense. Detroit is really good on both sides of the ball. Look at the power rankings. It's not close. Fields is worse then Dak by a lot.

You can kind of use the excuse for injuries on defense (not 47 points worth). Whats the excuse on offense? Dallas couldn’t do anything even after Hutchinson was hurt.

And what does history have to do with anything?

We don't have enough talent or a competent coaching staff.

They conjure the spirits from former greats into their current players on game day for a skills boost

Pittsburgh did not have the weapons on the outside to threaten us so we could focus on stopping the run. Even with a terrific performance from our D we were barely able to get the W because our offense is garbage.

Any team with a solid running game, QB and quality WRs is going to score at will on this defense which will cause our QB and the rest of the offense to go into a shell. Turnovers, 3 and outs, and FGs is all you can expect from this offense in those situations.

Detroit had a bye week and was able to break down film on the Cowboys defense without Parsons and Tank. If Dallas was going to lose one game on the schedule it was Detroit because of injuries and the bye.

Detroit is a MUCH better offensive team than Pittsburgh. The scheme, OL, WR, RBs and QB - across the board. Outside of the 4th quarter against the Ravens, the Dallas defense has not shown it can stop at all a good NFL offense.
