Let's not get crazy here. And you left off my disclaimer. :banghead:
Typical Cowboys fan. haha.

He is good, he just isnt great, and still has a learning curve to get past, same as Campbell.

I still hope it's too late for Eli Manning and he will just suck, like he has thus far in his career. :)

find an NFL team who'll say they'd rather have campbell than romo.

i'll wait, homer.

Blame yourself and the media for thinking that way. When we win, we win. When we lose, we lose. We can't help it that our successes have outshined our loses in our franchise's history. Deal with it.

You are making some posts that are reminding me "comments" made about the Cowboys by haters....

Lets see if ya heard this one... "when the Cowboys win - THEY WERE LUCKY... when the Cowboys lose - THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO" - - -Haters kill me LOL

Once he learns to read the coverages better pre-snap, and can try not to lock in on a target from the snap, he will be a very good QB, maybe even great. Not worried about his fumbles, not worried about his INTs at this point. That is stuff every QB has to learn and get experience with.

Seems to me he has heart, and is a solid leader of the offense regardless of his age and experience.

He can't make all of the throws well, but he is accurate with the ones he can make.

Nice post. Yet I disagree. Almost opposite of what you said.

I think he is ahead in these area's:
- pre-snap read
- I really havent seen him lock in on a target

The area's that seem somewhat unimportant ARE MY CONCERNS:
- I am very concerned with his fumbles and carelessness with the ball
- Also concerned with his INT's

QB's dont necessarily learn from that... there are countless examples

Agreed that he has heart and looks to be a solid leader ALREADY. I only see that getting better.

I would be curious to know which throws he cant make. He seemed to make just about all the throws last year?

Just a few things for the haters

Romo didn't vote himself into the probowl nor could his teammates do it...the fans have just 1/3 of the say leaving 2/3 to other teams players and coaches and the press.

Romo isn't just lucky out there... and it certainly isn't because teams don't have film on him or every hotshot QB out of college would be putting up crazy numbers...Romo is good

My add to this discussion is that, unlike Rivers and Leinart, Romo was an UDFA. That lessens his credentials in many eyes. Romo has more to prove than Rivers and Leinart simply because his pedigree is not as good.

Barring an injury disaster season (Denver, for example, may be in such a season), this will be the year Romo silences the doubters. We will all get to see if the Cowboys (and Romo), have gone beyond the "Payton formula."

Yeah, I agree about "locking on".

The Skins fan obviously hasn't seen much of Romo. He rarely stares down a WR. In fact, he's been noted as thowing "no look" passes...like a point guard in basketball.

My personal gripe with him is that he took up too much time on analysis shows and various segments on ESPN, NFLN and other media outlets. The four game stretch in which he ripped the league a new one was unbearable considering how much hype the media outlets gave him.

You didn't answer my question.
I guess your too good for that
I didn't have time to. But I do now.

I live in the part of the country where the two main geographic teams happen to be the Cardinals and the Chargers.

Are you saying there are not doubts surrounding them where you live?

cowboys19, every QB in the NFL is faced with criticism and doubts. You define this as "hatred." I don't have to agree with that definition and I don't.

Until last year Peyton Manning could not win the big game. Before that he couldn't win a meaningful game. Brett Favre who is about to retire as the greatest statistical QB of all time has doubters. Aikman had them. Staubach had them. Meredith had them. Joe Montana, John Elway, Dan Marino.

There literally has never been a man who played behind center and took snaps who hasn't faced scrutiny.

Will you please reach deep into your heart and forgive me of my sins if I don't feel like Tony Romo having doubters is the end of the world? Don't make me beg.

Two Reasons...

1. Non-Cowboys fans hate the Cowboys. They're a very polarizing organization.

2. Tony is overrated! He's a very good, young QB. But seeing how hyped he was last year, you'd think he's Tom Brady. He's been built up so much.
yep, and worldwide, America is a polarizing country. We are America's team and this is just another reason why that nickname fits.

Lot of Cowboys? Who are those? You are talking about a very small groupof fanatics, every team has those. Most of the Cowboys fans doesn't believe he is and are in "wait and see" mode. Tools like you crack me up, making up crap to support your agenda, pathetic.

Also, who should have gone to the Pro Bowl instead of him? Just anyone but Romo, right?

What does that have anything to do with being a QB? Nevermind, I'll answer it for you, not a damn thing.
You gotta understand Iggles fans. They know a Cowboy fan who loves Romo that becomes "a lot of Cowboys fans." What they know and see is evidence of a vast sweeping occurrence.

Do they pick the Pro Bowl players before or after the last game of the season?
Seems to me if it is before the last game , that was not a factor in the matter of him going.

The subtle answer, thought of by none of you, is that Romo's accent is almost...CANADIAN! Listen to his interviews...he could be one of those guys stick-handling a puck across the blue line...
The solution is simple: Matt Moore, with a conventional Southern California accent, becomes our starting QB. Romo becomes backup QB(and holder on placekicks), concomitantly answering the Brad Johnson question.
Problem solved!
You're Welcome!

People will chill on Romo if he goes 13-3 this season and gets to the NFC Championship game at least, hopefully further.

Of course then he'll become the one that can't get over the hump, hopefully Dallas goes all the way and they can hate him but he'll just show them his ring finger.

Whenever I'm having a moment where I might question a Romo decision I think back to when Bled-slow was back there... and I'm suddenly snapped back to reality and I am glad we have Romo.

When Bledsoe wasn't re-signed I'm betting your wife asked if you had gotten a prescription for Viagra.
