Carp was on Colin Cowherd this morning. They mostly talked college fb, but they did touch on hte Cowboys a little.

Carp said we have top 5 talent accross the board at each position. The players were more disappointed than angry. He took a break and went to Miami (hmmmm) after the loss to get away, recently got back to VR. T.O. is a great locker room guy, very charasmatic. Problem is we have too much talent to feature just one guy. Also said he thought a big problem with the Cowboys was too many players had undefined roles this year.

I recapped from memory, and it was pretty boring interview... I might have missed something or misinterpreted something. If so, my bad.

Carp came in with expectations to be the next Sam Huff.
But he turned into the next Bruce Huther.

Not true. Bruce Huther actually got onto the field.

Bruce Huther was a demon on special teams and was a pretty good sub for Bruening when given the opportunity.

Bruening wasn't that good but was very solid. Very. Huther did alright when in there. I'd forgot about him but he was a capable backup. In fact didn't he play more outside as well?

We should hate A.J. Hawk because he is such a monster that he made Bobby look like a 1st rounder just by playing next to him.:

I don't. I actually like the kid and hope he gets a shot.

At the same time, I am not at all averse to trading him or waiving him if he is not one of the best 53 for the roster. As long as he is one of the best 53 he is welcome as far as I am concerned.

thats how i feel about all of them. just keep us the best 53...no matter who
they are, where they were drafted, what they cost, or how they look in the
shower...( thats for Jerry...not me )

I just want to see the guy get a real chance...id make him the starter next season and if he bombs or excels, then atleast we would have a solid answer. We are never really going to know if he is a player if he doesnt play, and i dont count ST as real playing time for this player

Doubt more than 10% here wanted Cromartie...

I remember everyone worrying about his knee. Everyone wanted Barbie or Lawson.

But I wanted #13.

Lawson is playing well in SF. He did have that ACL injury early in 2007 that ended his season.

He not playing "well" - he's OK and hasn't really justified his draft status. I see the dude almost every week. He does OK.

Why in the world is this guy doing national radio programs? He doesn't even deserve GAC.

I certainly don't hate him.

I hate that we used a first rounder on a guy that does nothing except play special teams though.

But at least he can play special teams.

At this point, I think we should give him another couple years to see if he turns into anything at linebacker.

So, all of the sudden Bruce Huther is headed for the ring of honor?:laugh2:

Next time I pluck someone out from obscurity I will make sure you old-timers are not so enamored.:D
