I think they want to find out what Spencer can do before bringing him up from PS.

it's coming. i think they're going to give the status quo 1 or 2 more weeks to get this pass rush together before they make the change.

I want to believe that Red is a lil more calculated in whats he doing as HC than just throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks.

Sometimes you take chances. Throw the hungry guy out there that wants it wants to make the team,,, real, real bad.

Word is that the coaches like him quite a bit, but that he's weak for his position, and that he's only got his quick first-step going for him right now. I think he only comes up if we get hit by multiple injuries at his position, but he's a guy we look at closely in camp next year.

Maybe he isn't quite ready yet. Best bet would be at least 8 to 10 games and an injury before he is added to the active roster.

If it's brought up, it's for a networks agenda, and story line, not what may be best for the team....
We get Spencer back, the DLaw...then what would happen to Sam, if he gets released, to be added back to the PS, then there is more media stotlines....

Ready as opposed to who? This D-Line didn't even sniff the QB this past Sunday. Seriously- if we don't start getting pressure on the QB, we may have won our last game of the season. All other ends of the defense have been at least serviceable SAVE for the D-Line.

Is the D-Line better than last year? Maybe only because the depth of jags is better than the street free-agents we rolled out in rotation last year.

That's the ONLY way it's better. A touch better against opposing run game.

With McClain in the line-up, it's serviceable. Without him the warts show in neon.

I keep hearing that Michael Sam is a one trick pony and is completely one dimensional. Isn't that the embodiment of what Marinelli wants his ends to be? Get up the field pass-rusher types? Isn't that the type of player we are lacking?

Of course they should do that. His first sack would be the first one by a defensive end on this team this year. Heck, if he makes 2 tackles he would tie for the team lead among defensive ends in that category. I don't think any of the 4 de's that have played for us this year would make any other roster if cut.

Let's put him out there. Just set him loose. Attack, attack, attack!

We have no pass rush so it couldn't get less than what it is.

Maybe he will be a spark!

Or maybe he will be a major liability.

Right now, the defensive line isn't generating much of a pass rush, but they are somewhat holding their ground. It's possible that Sam isn't able at this point, or perhaps ever, to even do that.

I trust Marinelli to be able to recognize when a lineman he's coaching is better than who he's putting on the field.

This was my problem with him coming to Dallas in the first place. When do people long for players on the practice squad to be added to the active roster? It never happens! If we sustain some injuries at the position he plays...I could see him potentially being brought up. But often those guys are there to practice, get stronger, add/lose weight, adjust to the speed of the NFL, improve technique etc...not to be a lightning rod for the fans!
