I'd like to see what he could do over Jack Crawford or Edwards.

Let's put him out there. Just set him loose. Attack, attack, attack!

We have no pass rush so it couldn't get less than what it is.

Maybe he will be a spark!

Serious question...would you even know anything about Michael Sam if he was not gay? It seems that people want him promoted because they're heard his name.

There are 320 practice squad players that the Cowboys could sign to the 53 man roster at any time. I would guess that more than 32 of them are DLinemen. What is it that makes Michael Sam the obvious choice other than the fact that you're heard of him?

I really don't mean to be an arse, but I don't get the fascination with him. I'm not opposed to him being promoted, but I don't know that he's really done anything to deserve it.

I bet Jeter has more cheap hits all by himself than every other member of the 3000 hit club combined. Just sayn'

Bogus.
More line drive hits.

"The hate is strong in this one"

When you post "just sayin" it screams very bitter lol

And don't make that bet. It's a loser.

Honestly. Yes. That got me to look into him.
SEC defensive player of the year.

No fascination. Give him a shot. We suck on defense. Crap teams with crap QBs are lighting us up.

What don't you get?

Bro, Yankee fans have drunk the Jeter Kool Aid for years. Cant see him for what he is. No bat speed, Cant get around on an inside pitch. Junk hits. Cheap hits like that infield slow roller last night. That was vintage Jeter. Bloop singles. Seeing eye groundballs. Its just who he is. What he is. He's the Cheap Hit King.

Opposing pitchers apparently dont have the same scouting report as you do. Why did you wait 2 decades to put this out there? He could have been shut down.

You sound ridiculous.

No baseball person will EVER agree with you. EVER.
Even cal Ripken conceded more than once that Jeter is better than he ever was. Hurts I know.

Ive said Jeter was overrated for years. He's an average caliber player on the big stage in NY and a mediot favorite. Put him in Milwaukee or Houston and he's an afterthought.

Ridiculous? to you and Jeter Kool Aid drunk Yankee fans, yes. I'll go along with his peers that voted him most overrated. I go with what I've seen his entire career. Even Keith Olberman finally got something right when he talked about Jeter.

Cal may have said it, but he doesnt believe it. And neither do you or I. He was being nice. There isnt a sane person on the face of this earth other than a Yankee fan that would take Jeter over Cal. Not ONE.

Olbermann?

Wrong.

Read slow so you understand the finer, specific, detailed points...

I call this the "Embodiment of Derek Jeter"

Cal quote, you don't make this up because you don't believe it. It's plain, simple truth.

“It’s hard to measure and define all the magic that Derek brings to the table, but there is a presence in the lineup and a presence when he’s at the plate and in the field,” Ripken said. “No one person in baseball can drive you to a world championship. It takes a good team and he’s been blessed to be part of a good team, but he’s played a huge role in the success of the Yankees in the postseason and has pushed them once they get to the postseason to be champions. He’s a champion all the way around.”

Winfield quote for good measure...

“He knew what kind of player he was going to be; good shortstop, good defensively, he had wheels, he could run. Everybody wants to be a home run hitter and get the glory, but he was a table-setter. He made things happen. You get on base, you create havoc, you score runs and make stuff happen.”

This was my problem with him coming to Dallas in the first place. When do people long for players on the practice squad to be added to the active roster? It never happens! If we sustain some injuries at the position he plays...I could see him potentially being brought up. But often those guys are there to practice, get stronger, add/lose weight, adjust to the speed of the NFL, improve technique etc...not to be a lightning rod for the fans!

Im longing for ryan williams

What don't you get?

I don't get 'Crap teams with crap QBs are lighting us up.'

The defense gave up 14 pts against SF. Granted SF turned the intensity down after the offense threw the game away before halftime. The defense looked good against Locker and Tenn. STL may have found a diamond in the rough with their 3rd string QB. We'll see if he does the same to other teams going forward.

Think this team is waiting to see what Spencer has left. If Sam was brought to the 53 they would have to release somebody. If Spencer is finished, they could release him and bring up Sam. JMO
