Why Has Marinelli Not Been Fired Yet?

Did you watch the Cardinals game and his adjustements ?

Just because we cant stop other teams its not always the fault of one person. This is a teams sport!

I suggest you start watching tennis if you cant think in komplex ways and want to find the reasons of a loss in one person only.
Wade says what the hell!

Where was this “no one person is responsible, it’s a team sport” crap” for him.

You can also add Rob Ryan to that list as well. Funny how you didn’t seem to upset when they were scapegoated but old man Rod gets the “its a team sport” excuse.

Also bro, kinda embarrassing for you to tell someone to think in “komplex” ways. Seriously

In last 2 games................Dallas has scored 30+ points and had 400+ yards in each...........and lost both

Rest of the entire NFL when scoring 30+ with 400+ yards...............just 2 single losses

So let me get this straight, Dallas has just as many losses as the other 31 teams combined in losses putting up these offensive stats?

Like I said, why was Marinelli not fired in the lockerroom, we literally have a D so bad that all 31 other teams combined are not even this bad.

Please do not even think about firing Marinelli until after the season ends.
They have almost blown the season.
May as well get the best draft we can.
Couple playmakers in the defense and we are good to go.
Garrett/Marinelli may get us an extra 2-3 losses in this crap season.
Big difference in draft position between 6-10 and 9-7.
2018 mock drafts have a lot of QBs going early, so if we are in the top 10, we will likely get a top-5 defensive player or better.

Go Garrett, Go Marinelli - keep on keeping your loser ways!!!

It's laughable that there are people that think tanking is a viable strategy in the NFL. It's not.

Your going against Jerry forces of nature with this thread. Jerry has team of coaches in place who don't rock the boat. Also, factor in Jerry age. He knows new & younger coaching staff will take longer to groom. I hate to say it but Jerry put all of his chips in on Garrett and will ride this staff until he joins Al Davis.
Excatly. Between the HC and the two coordinators, Jerry has three beta males that will do as he pleases them to do.

I think his seat got a tad hotter, but not boiling yet.

If the defense falls flat post bye, then you could see some movement.

think having Lee out is his safety net, for now.

I don't advocate firing any coordinators this early unless the head coach takes over which in this case is not possible. However, if he needs Lee in there to avoid his defense looking like hot garbage than he isn't much of a coordinator to begin with.

Without seeing which head coaches will get fired and which DC's from fired staffs will be available, I'd say my two choices for defensive coordinator would be:

Brent Venables, age 46. Clemson's defense is always elite. Plus, I know him so that would be cool.

Michael Barrow, age 47. Onetime Dallas Cowboy, he currently holds the title of Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers for the Seahawks. He has coached at the U of Miami and the Seahawks for the past 11 years. Seahawks promoted him to "Assistant Head Coach" because they have Kris Richard at DC, and didn't want to lose Barrow.

If money or contract status were not an issue, I'd want Gus Bradley (age 51, just took Chargers DC job) and then previously mentioned Kris Richard (age 37, Seahawks DC).

Won't be fired till after the season, I'm sure.

They're going to need that defense being bad as the built in excuse to give Garrett yet another pass.

Agree, it's time to hold people accountable. Other teams adjust to their talent, you won't have Pro Bowlers in every position.

I actually hate Marinelli more than Garrett.Everybody pretty much knows Garrett is a simpleton and stupid as well but Marinelli has everybody convinced his antiquated scheme still works in the NFL.I mean how hard is it to figure out you will have a tough time stopping the run with sub 300 DTs and LBs on skates.

Jerry and Jason love the stuff the Cowboys did in the 90s. The problems are two fold: one, the rules have changed since then and we really don't take advantage of them. Two, we don't have 10 future hall of famers - in their primes - on this roster.

Quite frankly, now is the perfect time to make the switch. We are going into the bye week with two weeks to prepare. Get rid of Marinelli now and insert a fresh face. Let him bring his assistants too. How could we be any less prepared in that scenario than we've been in the last 5 weeks on D?

New face on D gives Garrett a chance to salvage the season. If we don't make the playoffs, Garrett goes bye bye. Makes perfect sense to me... But I'm just a passionate fan.

Firing Marinelli now isn't going to fix the talent deficiencies on defense. Getting rid of him isn't suddenly going to make Paea, Price and Collins solid at tackle, or Jeff Heath better at safety, or make Jaylon Smith's leg get back to pre-injury health. The talent is the largest problem with the defense. Flame away.

i totally agree with keeping him for the season.
but marinelli helped picked the players.
remember his 'celebration' after the 7th round pick - the try hard types?
