Unless there’s a 2021 situation again where a team from the wildcard round ends up knocking off all the favorites. Would Miami be so heavily favored over Philly? Would Tennessee who already almost beat KC? Baltimore?

I think the Bills have absolutely the best roster in football, but they can be beaten because of their…. QB.

Last year Josh Allen almost led the league in picks. This year many aren’t acknowledging it, but but he’s ALREADY got double digit turnovers halfway through the season. He has a lot of Brett Favre in him; if he had better ball control they would probably also be undefeated right now. Their defense was handling the jets; but NY had some good scoring drives on short field due to Allen’s multiple interceptions.

Can Buffalo crush Philadelphia when Allen is the Incredible Hulk? Probably. But Can Philadelphia beat them when he plays like the other guy? Absolutely. Unlike Buffalo, we don’t turn the ball over; that gives us a shot against anyone.

Chiefs are a closer matchup, I don’t know how that one would go. If we had a weakness it’s run defense, but Andy Reid won’t run the ball enough. They’re not as good as they have been in recent years, but still a SB contender

I honestly don't think Philly has been lights out and winning in great fashion. They barely beat us with a back up. IN PHILLY. Most of their wins are by small margins.

To be fair, this isn't college where the game margins are going to be wide. Most of these games are decided in the 4th and comes down to the last half of the quarter. A win is a win. Not so much the game winning margins as how good they look in the process. They still leave a lot to be desired but they are 9-0 right now and have the path to get the #1 seed which is huge with this new format. Since only one team per conference will get a bye week. And it sucks for us because the highest seed we can get is 5 seed. Even though we will have a better record than anyone in the NFC South and most likely the West. We will still have to go on the road for 3 games in a row to win it. Has it been done? Sure. Tampa just did it a few years ago. Is it ideal? Not at all.

Yes. Any team can out there and win on a single day. It's the NFL, not college. There isn't drastic talent disparity when you get to the playoffs, especially the Super Bow.. That isn't to say blowouts haven't happened but it isn't because the losing team had no talent or athletes.

I wouldn't pick the Eagles to beat any of those teams if I were to bet but I highly doubt they get ran off the field.

Eagles offensive scheme still hasn't been solved in terms of what to do with Hurts. They have a good OL and a good defense.

Winning in the play offs is where it's at, and since home field advantage hasn't actually been a real advantage for us in the past I don't care about road games. So let's not only date the prom queen but make sweet love to her in January. I heard something's going on in Glendale, Arizona on February 12th.

I mean you say that but when is the last time the Cowboys won a road playoff game? 1992 NFC championship game? That's 30 years ago. Home playoff games is the recipe to advance. The only playoff games we have won in the last 3 decades have been at home. If we had success on the road in the playoffs, then sure, I might agree. But as of now, we are destined to have to win 3 straight road games and that is highly unlikely that happens as it is pretty rare.

What’s happened in the past really doesn’t matter. The NFC isn’t that strong this season and the only team that has a better record in the conference than Philly is Minnesota and their only loss was to Philly. The Cowboys are tied with the second best record in the NFC and one of their losses was to Philly. Philly may not even be playing their best football yet. I’m confident they’ll lose at least a game or two this season and we’ll see how they respond after they suffer their first loss. They may rebound the following week and get right back on track or they could begin to sputter. Anyone who follows the NFL knows the key to making it to the Super Bowl is peaking at the right time. Regardless a teams record if they get hot in the playoffs they have a shot.

If anyone claims they would not want the # 1 seed, they just aren’t be honest with themselves.
That said there is way to much football to be played to look that far ahead. Sure history has shown us that it’s not a requirement to a Super Bowl appearance, but having a bye and not having to travel is a big advantage.

They needed the field goal AND needed to stop Philly with 30 seconds left and 3 timeouts AND needed to win the coin toss in overtime AND needed to drive the length of the field and get a TD or at least a field goal AND stop Philly from getting a field goal.



Would it have been a closer game if they hit that field goal? Sure. Would we have a loss solely because they hit a game tying field goal? Of course not.

But it was a mediocre Arizona team? Chiefs lost to a BAD Colts team. Bills lost to an up-and-down Jets team. Does anyone believe the jets are better than Philly? Do those games define those teams the same way the Arizona game defines Philly to you? Or do they get a pass? And unlike the other two, Philly still even won in their instance.

I don’t think strength of schedule has that big of an impact on a team’s demeanor. Rams won the sb without a first place schedule. Bucs did the year before without a first place schedule. Eagles did it without a first place schedule. Should they not have won those SBs because they didn’t have to play the previous year’s top seeds? You can say the eagles may not have as good a record, but it doesn’t preclude us from beating those same teams in the playoffs. If you’re good, you’re good.

hes the same…his running and the playcalling is opening things up and making it easier. Remember Dak in 2016? RG3? Wentz prior to knee injury? As a passer forced to drop back and pass from the pocket, he’s often confused and can’t see the entire field.

But if I'm seeing this right, since 2000 we have won three first round games at home and lost three games at home. So I stand by what I said. Haven't really put that HFA to good use.

Its not about first place schedule. The eagles have the easiest schedule in football. There is a big difference between playing no one and playing at least some good football teams down the stretch that helps you.

Sure you can criticize the QBs we play, but it doesn’t change the schedule we have. As long as we keep getting these types of QBs we’ll keep beating them.

But again, it in no way prevents us from playing well against better QBs

Even that 2007 undefeated Pats team lost to a 10-6 Giants team that got hot in the playoffs.

That GMen d line with Strahan, Osi and Tuck beat the likes of our best team on the road, and then GB and SF all on the road.

Throw in the Hail Mary Tyree helmet catch in the SB against the Pats and you've got another example of whoever is hot come playoff time being the most likely to succeed.

I hope the Eagles don't stay undefeated.
I hope more if they do lose, that they don't peak right before the playoffs.

with that weak azz schedule of theirs. they just might go 16-1. the one loss to Dallas. I think the Washington team will beat them Sunday. I don't believe they are as good as their record says but we shall see. I hate the Eagles to be honest. GO COWBOYS!!!
