Why I'm extremely annoyed the Vikings lost to the Bears

Because we HAVE to win on Sunday now whereas before it was a throw away game because it was another game with the same team the next week. I feel that from a fan's perspective, it would be very hard to beat the eagles two weeks in a row so I kind of wanted to see us lose on sunday and go to the Linc the next week and knock the eagles out of the playoffs. See to me that was the BIGGER PICTURE because we all know winning the NFC EAST means nothing once the playoffs start. So since we didn't need the game on sunday and would already be in the playoffs I would have been cool with the Cowboys coming off a loss heading into the second matchup at the Linc.

So if we win on sunday I can just see the eagles headed into that game the following week with determination especially since the game would be in Dallas and the fact they would be 0-2 against us this season. If the game is at the Linc, the Cowboys get to be that HUNGRY team coming off a loss the week before and will be pumped since the game is in their place and beat the Eagles in front of their fans.



Does anyone see the point I'm making in regards to the Eagles?

Not me, we want to be winning on a positive note and keep getting hot going into the playoffs. Besides, if the vikings lose to the giants and the cardinals lose, we will get the 2nd seed, and get a bye week, a full week of rest.

We need that for columbo to get back into shape and be ready for that big running game, he is our best run blocker.

Its no concindence that our running game on short yardage is suffering with columbo out.

So, if we can get that bye week and get everybody fully healthy, and that also means that romo and roy williams will get one more week to get their timing etc for that first playoff game.

It doesn't rally matter who we play in the playoffs, it's going to be a tough game, so if we have to play Philly again, I'd rather do it in Dallas vs going up to the cold and chaos of Philly

I said that because I feel that they would be more PUMPED after a loss in a game that is do or die. The Eagles play better on the road for some reason.

I would rather play any other team in the playoffs over Philly. They are agressive on both sides of the ball, unlike the other teams.

Even though I HATE the Eagles, I have to admit, Reid does have our number. This is why I was hoping that they would have fired him last yr.

The Eagles have lost two NFC Championships at home. Why should the Cowboys be worried about playing the Eagles in Philly, especially since we've already beat them there?

No, that's not true.

They played the Giants 3 times on 2006 and 2008. They split the regular season series so I don't understand your point.

Seriously, too many people are over-thinking this thing and letting fear take over.

Probability may say that odds are against beating an evenly matched team 3X in a row (like flipping quarters and landing on heads 3x in a row) but the reality is that each time you flip that quarter there is a 50-50 chance. The previous two flips have no magical powers over the 3rd flip.

Guaranteed the Eagles are not too enthusiastic about playing the Cowboys for a 3rd game and if it happens they want that 3rd game to be in Philadelphia. Home field advantage trumps the "3 times in a row" head game.

Boy did you just hit it on the head. The percentages are only against you if the 3 games are in the future. If 2 have been played, then you only have to win once.
