...If we had a healthy ...LT Smith...MLB Lee...and RB Zeke was playing....we could take them!...without these guys it can be done, but with much greater difficulty...IMMHO...especially if the b/u LT situation is not fixed!...anyway.....Go Cowboys!...:flagwave:

It's not so much the eagles as it is our losses and what they mean. On top of that a blow to one maybe two is survivable but all 3 is devastating. Further the 3 are pro-bowl/all pro and have more significance based on team construction. Lee = QB of the defense. He's the glue and cleans up a ton. Tyron all-pro.. Better than Peters.. more impactful Zeke not only one of the best RB's in the league but one of the leagues most elite players period. Would have been a tough game with all 3. One or Two.. maybe... all 3.. doesn't look good. Gonna watch the game with one eye covered.

To me, it's not a matter of being afraid of the Eagles - they're a solid team albeit nowhere near as good as their record indicates (small sample size sport be damned!). The real question is whether or not a team losing its three most important players (Lee, Tyron, Zeke - in that order) and trotting out Jaylon Smith and woefully inept backup LTs can beat anyone let alone a very solid team.

My answer to the latter is likely not.

I'm just hoping that this is one of those games were everyone picks the favorite team to win and gives the underdog no chance. And somehow, someway the Cowboys end up with the upset! :flagwave:

The Eagles have a much better defense, offensive weapons, and at this point, a much better performing oline. The last part is likely going to lead to better QB play this sunday. I won't even get into the coaching superiority.

So yes, the Eagles are a vastly superior team at this current juncture.
That's just your opinion and you are entitled to it

Decent chance we can win this game. But as always, we will lose at some point down the road in a heartbreaking, gut wrenching, remote throwing, season ending fashion.

Give them their due respect for having the best record but if you just for a min set aside your emotions from last week loss and their record, we actually match up pretty good TALENTWISE. Make no mistake, the lost of Lee and Smith will hurt but they lost their starters at the same positions. The thing is the Eagles are now playing with a ton confidence ( similar to us last year ) and that alone with their record are intimidating a lot of teams and fans. Break them down talent for each position, with the exception of a couple positions, we are right there with them.

Funny thing is I doubt there a person outside the players believe they can take this game Sunday. Well I do ....... coz IMO the margin is a lot closer than we think.

The Cowboys can win. The Atlanta game was not as bad as it seemed after reviewing the game footage. Just a few changes in strategy on offense and the Cowboys could have won that game.

The math just doesn’t add up in our favor....unless JG can MAKE ADJUSTMENTS to help his LT.

Full strength, I like our chances. But I honestly don’t think this one will be close.

Speaking of Hitchens............ I don't know how feasible it is, but I'd rather just leave him at MLB and put Wilson or Smith at WILL. Hitchens is a better MLB than WILL and Smith sucks at MLB so I'd rather be adequate at MLB and then who knows at WILL than be crappy at MLB and who knows at WILL.

The best way to attack our LB problems is to at least lock down one of the three spots with solid play.

I would like to see Wilson and Hitchens at WLB and MLB and together in Nickel. Either Wilber or Jaylon could play SLB for the 15% of snaps that they play in Base defense.

Great defense? Check
Create turnovers? Check
Amazing offensive play calling? Check
Wentz on fire? Check

Their offensive play calling is amazing. Wentz can pick and choose whom he throws to and they always seem to be wide open.

Keep in kind, Green Bay, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle are all down this year. They are the best in the NFC by a long shot
All before thier bye week let history repeat itself.
It probably won’t but you never know. Maybe they spent the last 2 weeks reading about it how great they are and only need to show up to win

People would feel differently with Zeke. Without Zeke you feel like it's a long shot.

And that's what's wrong with this current team. The only player any team could ill afford to lose would be it's franchise QB. The fact that folks aren't giving us much of a shot with a healthy "franchise" QB tells me more about Prescott than anything. I always felt that with #12, #8 and even #9, we always had a shot. Not so much with #4.

The game will be there for the Cowboys to win in the 2nd half. Can they make the plays required to win or will their obvious weaknesses bury them? Should be entertaining nonetheless.

Eagles clearly are a very good team but we're not facing the Patriots at peak performance here. This is a winnable game despite the injuries.

Hey, if you want to be football ignorant, that's your choice. Now get away from the computer and go eat, your Mom just made you lunch before she takes you to the park.

We are running a simple college offense for a non pocket passer.

Take away almost 5-7 yards on first down

Take away the left tackle

Take away 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3

And what your left with is Dak sucks

It'll be an easy game. Eagles are overconfident and never win these games.

The Eagles are frauds. I would take the Saints and Rams over them. I predict the Eagles will remain without a Superbowl when the season is said and done.

Their defense is scary but that offense did struggle for a bit a home against the 49ers, and not having Peters will hurt them in the long run this season.
