I'm not knocking the guy because he's been through a lot but why is he on the field? At this point, he's a liability out there. He can't cut, and misses way too many tackles. Either that knee has cut his speed in half or the dude just can't play at this level. Is he playing because he was a stud in college? Is Garrett trying to get him used to the NFL while backs run around him? This isn't the time to be experimenting with LB's. I know he makes tackles, look at the position he's playing, but his tackles are after he's been juked and someone else is involved......Hitchens plays circles around Jaylon......If he were on any other team he wouldn't play at all.

People will not understand your post because he made 2 whole plays last week. They didn't notice the dozen missed tackles he had.

Hitchens is better.

Hmmm....gotta think about that for a second. You're right, he is better.

He will be fine. That was a devastating injury. He will shine in the future.

I’ve gone on record here about Jaylon and I somewhat concur with what the OP is seeing on the field of play. The player has a good burst towards the LOS but suffers greatly as he turns
to pursue down field. He appears to really labor in pursuit.

He has been better with reduced reps. That much shows in splash plays he’s been a part of.

We all want the difference maker he was at ND. Right now he is nowhere near that player. But the arrow just might be pointing up. Small doses for now.

Have you actually watched the last 3 games?

Yes I'm serious. Because his play has been noticeably better.

And he almost had one of the most athletic interceptions from a linebacker I have seen.

A lot of pessimism this week from a team that has won 2 straight and a defense that has really been much improved since Lee has returned.

Young players play and they usually improve BTW.

robjay04--- sound reasoning!!!....man i hope with our young studs on "D"..and maybe Marinelli burning some midnight oil and pulling a Marinelli

rabbit out of the hat..we can come away from game with Chiefs on sunday not only with win but a signature defensive identity that rivals

our Offense?..OK some may accuse me of dreamin'....but we love our Cowboys and identities start somewhere..i think our defense is

better than the games we lost.....by all rights..we should be 6-1...Rams and Packers may come back to bite us for NFC east title...but

we are better than 4-3...and i think..no...I Know..our best football is ahead of us,,we will make playoffs and make serious noise,,and then

who knows???

I'm serious...I've seen him get beat by a RB more times than I can count. You can't think he's a good LB?
please remember they said 6-9 months toward end of training camp before they expected "nerve to fire at its best?...lets give him some more time

before we come down on him??,,,,in fact i can reasonably see our young rookie defense and Jaylon.....Jellin' together this winter and our

defense rivaling our offense to see which one is better...just like the 90's.....we gave away 2 games to rams and packers...but if we can stay

healthy and our young defense with Jaylon begin to Jellin'....come December....Cowboys may be a team ready to line up and methodically

take teams down on way to playoffs?...NFL has changed....do not want to peak too soon....I like our chances?...what do you think?

We spent a early second pick on a guy that will most likely not be 100% until his third season in the league. And even then, we don't know if he's going to be any good.

Ridiculous.

That and he's played better and better the last 3 weeks and on passing downs he's a good threat because of his speed on pass rushing ability.

YR

I agree with all the above.

The timing of bashing Jaylon seems outdated st this point. He's looking more comfortable by the week since his role has reduced.
