Why is Jaylon Smith playing?

We spent a early second pick on a guy that will most likely not be 100% until his third season in the league. And even then, we don't know if he's going to be any good.

Ridiculous.

We also spent a 4th on Dak and a 6th on Brown.

They hit so well in that draft they deserve the benefit of the doubt on Jaylon. If he turns into the guy he was prior to injury then he will be a steal. If he doesn't? Life will go on.

While offensively, I've enjoyed the picks. Defensively, it has been head scratching or risky picks.

While everyone looks at the Dak pick, I look at the fact we missed out on two players that could have been cornerstone players for our D with Ramsey and Jack. And yes, while Zeke is great, getting a CB that can lock down one side of the field is simply more valuable in the long run than an RB.

Sadly, we are a couple seasons away from getting this defense where it needs to be. As much praise as the 2016 draft gets, it could also be the year we really screwed up.

He's found a decent little niche as a pass rusher. He's so woeful against the run at this stage that I have a hard time believing there's a worse run defender anywhere in the league. He's not much better against the pass.

He deserves the benefit of the doubt and more time to heal. But he's absolutely killing the team on 90%+ of his snaps at this current stage.

It sure looks like her.

That's her accepting a award for Stranger Things.

I wouldn't have been upset over the Ramsey pick but I understand not taking him. In a passing league....I think I'd rather have the game changer st running back.

2016 will never be known as a screw up. We came out of that draft with 5 starters......one being a franchise qb and a franchise running back.

A better question would be, why are you posting this about a very good player, or where are your glasses/ I mean are you kidding us, with this question?

Hard to put "franchise RB" on any RB these days - Zeke could easily have a peak of 4-5 years before hitting a rapid decline. Just the nature of the position.

You don't get to where you need to be on the back of an RB - especially in today's league. Just not how it works. You need a passing game and a solid D. We lack the even a good D, and no, I'm not praising them for couple solid weeks of play.

Call the 2016 draft bitter sweet. A good draft that could have been great - missing out on players you could have had often times show the impact not immediately, but down the road.

I don't know why he is even dressing

but its Jerry's world

I think Jerry want to prove every body wrong

oh well I hate to see the poor guy play

if I was a OC of team every time i see him on the field i run straight at him

he's hurting the team

Cause Jerry wants to show everyone he's right. Gms want all their picks to look like smart ones. So taco and jaylon will get all the time they need to develop.

And I really do hope they improve!

Ya, we should bench the team leader in tackles, and a guy who is improving since his workload has been decreased. Man, you guys are ruthless.

The guy simply can't play right now. Empty stats in garbage time and tackles eight yards downfield mean nothing.

However, this may change next year. I do love his attitude and perseverance.
