As the triplets thrive as a trio why is Moose left in the dust? Why is he not in the very least in the Ring Of Honor in AT&T Stadium? He was very much a part of Emmitt Smith doing what he did as well as the Cowboys winning SB's. Moose deserves some recognition.

I'm not saying you can't make a cases for him but if Moose goes in that opens the door for a lot of other players from the 90's teams that deserve it too. I think the ring needs to be special and Darren Woodson is ahead of Darryl as far as I'm concerned. Maybe one day he'll get in.

Put the whole early 90s class in there lol

It's the ring of honor, the best of the best. Not all get included.

Was Moose one of the best fullbacks to ever play for the team?
I wasn't around for the 70's/80's teams, so I can't answer that question without some bias

I don't think he makes it, but he was an important cog in the running game.

Moose was great and clearly one of the leaders but he played a position that just doesn't get much attention. His worth was portrayed well in the speeches of Smith/Aikman as they entered the HOF. I don't think one fan from that time period does not realize what he brought to the table. That team had many many players that we could discuss. Novechek, Step, Newt, Tuin, Tolbert, Maryland, Lett, Bates, Norton, Woody, Smith, Allen....great player Moose was and the team is not nearly as dominate w/o his presence on the team. Everyone knows that team was more than just the triplets those three just played the positions that receive a great deal of attention.

Moose cannot be in the ROH ahead of Walt Garrison. Novachec would linger behind other TEs as well.
These were good players who will never even be nominated for the HOF. They were fan favorites, but role players.

I think this thread needs some perspective. Moose and Novacek were both very good players, but neither is worthy of the Ring of Honor, let alone the Hall of Fame. (Maybe the Hall of Very Good.)

Guess what? None of Tuinei, Newton, Stepnoski, Maryland, Casillas, Norton, Dixon, K. Smith or Gant (or any other pet cat you care to name) belongs in the Ring of Honor or Hall of Fame either, though they all made valuable contributions to those championship teams.

These are intended to be exclusive clubs. Only the best of the best get in.

I loved Daryl Johnston - he was my favorite player of the 90's Cowboys. Terrific player, team player, great teammate.

He does not belong in the Ring Of Honor.

Moose was the best FB for a decade............an entire decade. I am sorry, but he belongs in the ROH.

I am not going to debate who should get in before or after him......that is a different discussion altogether and shouldn't take away from the actual topic at hand......Moose and the ROH,

So, if I am voting, Moose is in.
