The reason a 2nd grader goes farther with what his second grade teacher taught him, is because of the grounding his first grade teacher gave him.

Appreciate them both for their contribution and look forward to 3rd grade with the right attitude. Apparently Romo has the right attitude, good thing for us. :)

I agree and there are others outside of BP and Jason. Romo has talked about learning things from athletes in different sports as well

Both Bill Parcells and Jason Garrett have been good for Tony Romo's career. Let's set aside all-seeing hindsight and embrace the good fortune of having an all-pro quarterback lead this team. In the end, it's all good.

This is true. Parcells was good for Tony early and I belive JG is better for him now. He now has a very smart OC who played the position. As far as the media thing goes, I see the point of the OP. Those Press confrences were funny though!

I would also like to add that many OC's or head coaches could have brought Tony along. He is that good. Even without Parcells or JG, Tony could have made it.

Everything BP told Romo to do when he left he is doing NOW.

Romo would not have stuck with the boys during the Henson mess if BP had not been solidly in his corner- BP was the only reason Romo stayed.

Great post, vta.

I just want Tony and the team to keep playing outstanding football, and I don't give a crap who's responsible for it.

Hey as the OP I'll confess in a second: I rarely missed a Parcells presser. The guy was funny as hell and captain charisma. Amazing to listen to

Doesn't change the fact that he was ALSO a control freak and a castrater of team leaders.

Complete utter crap.

He tested guys continually, not castrated them. If they couldn't put up with him, how could they put up with leading on the field?

Sorry he didn't coddle everyone like Wade. But if you think there wasn't a method to what Bill did you are missing the whole point.

Hey those head games worked sometimes, I won't argue that. Of course there was the purported intent. But IMO Bill's megalomania was driving more of that than we would ever know and it was often very counterproductive. He has talked cryptically about his demons. I think that's definitely one of them.
