Why no more signings. Don't we have 40 million in space?

Waiting till after the draft. Depending on who they are able to draft they will look at remaining free agents vs what they thing the team needs. Still won't sign a big free agent cause they hate to actually win. But if the season starts really bad they may look to make a move, sign and trade like they did with amari.

Yeah I was thinking exact same thing but was listening to Jeff Cavenagh explain that if they sign or trade for a guy for an amount of over 3.5mill per year to replace a guy that they lost, they then lose any compensary pick they may have gotten had they just lost the guy to free agency to another team.
The deadline for that is the date of the draft. So basically after the draft, this is no longer in effect and they can sign whomever they want without losing comp picks.
So obviously Cowboys, as well as other teams, will wait til after the draft to sign free agents they think will make it.

I wasnt aware of that. Good job by you.

I was told players should take a leather face friendly discount to help the team. All this unused cap space every year just shows how many fans are true suckers who believe that fallacy. Crabs in a bucket.

I have no idea where the money will go, DNA kid needs to change the batteries in his calculator daddy gave him.

They hate to win lol lol lol lol post of the night

Are they out on spring break???? Why no more signings - get another cb and wr signed. Best dl/de available would be good too.

40 million isn’t much really.

About 15 for the draft class.

They seem to think carrying over the max and operating with less cap spent than the competition is the path to greatness. That’s about 20 million.

The rest? Yacht fuel? Jerry and Stephens stripper account? Yeah I know they can’t pocket it but the next thing you know Dallas has a corner named NDA Bambii.

Oh you meant cap room for teams trying to win??

actually we will only need around six million for the Rookie Draft in CAP SPACE. Due to signing bonuses being spread out over four to five years.

We have around $30 million in usable cap space right now. When Parsons contract is done, that number will actually go up.

Problem is there is no one left in FA that is really worth serious cap money.

NOW if we could trade for someone with a big cap hit, it would be worth it.

But you know this brain dead FO will not do anything.

Is that all? Always thought it was around 10-12 and things are always headed upward.

Ok toss the extra into Bambii’s tip area.

LOL yacht fuel. I think it's a little cheaper since it's really just the first round pick. But either way, they have to do something this year. They have done nothing but tread water as usual. The plan they have been using for over a decade now doesn't win championships.

Then again, it could be money to carry over to fit in some future big cap hits.

This front office purportedly signs fill-ins so that they are not locked into having to prioritize a position in the draft because they don't have a "capable" starter. They have taken care of that, so they likely won't add anyone else until after the draft and possibly not until they see how it goes in camp.

Elam replaces Lewis.
Scott replaces Edoga.
Williams replaces Dowdle.
Sanders replaces Elliott.
Turner replaces Lawrence.
Thomas replaces Golston.
Murray replaces Kendricks.
Sanborn replaces Vigil.
Campbell replaces Cooks.
Fowler replaces Lawson.

About the only position where we don't have a fill-in is backup QB, so I expect us to sign one of those at some point, but we're probably done with the rest for now.

you must be a sucker... here in a damn forum discussing the team in the off season. And no way in hell you are missing games once the season starts.
