Not content with offending Americans, you're now trying to offend Irish people? And on the 100th anniversary of 1916? I'll get you a spade.

Ah the neutral Free Irish Republics ---DURING BOTH WARS!!!!;)

So, you are saying this team and s not close and we need to replace Romo before we will be close? We can't win as long as Romo is starting?

You realize, it will take 5-6 years for his replacement to even be near the understanding of defenses that Romo has, if ever?

I still believe we get the proper call against Green Bay on the Dez catch and we had a good shot of going to the SB year before last. With Romo.

5-6 years? Are you people high? A QB with a great arm, accuracy, and smarts will be Superbowl ready in 3 years or less
Just because it took Romo 6 years not to make boneheaded throws, it's not the norm.

Irish soldiers had the highest percentage casualty rate of all on the allies e.g. Dublin Fusiliers.

Then Ireland go into the spirit of the war which was all about freedom for small nations and got rid of its colonial dictators. The 1916 Proclamation is very similar to the US Declaration of Independence - invoking freedom and equality for all.

One of the key factors in causing the War of Independence at that time was Britains disgraceful treatment of WWI veterans and thr families of those who were killed in action.

Irelands defeat of Britain in the War of Independence set of a chain of events which led to the downfall of the British Empire. The Indians were inspired by Ireland (hence their flag with similar colours) as were the independence movements in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and various African states.

Why not wait until after the draft when teams are ready to let some veteran QB's go because they drafted a QB.

Not insane, I said 5-6 years to get up to the level of understanding Romo has. Do you read or are you illiterate?

Why hasn't Andrew Luck won the SB yet?

The Lynch post almost had me speechless. Now our QB is a walking corpse?

I'd like clarification of how he's not a walking corpse at this point? Ovarian cyst removal, injures and bruising to
his back and shoulder area. Thankfully he hasn't suffered an ACL or a concussion that leaves him a drooling
vegetable for the rest of life. But you can't seriously think he has 10 more years left in him? Hell if he survives
IF it would be a damn miracle and I'm not exaggerating

I like Glennon. Maybe the Bucs would give him to Dallas if they agreed to take Bruce Carter back with him. :)

This may be what Jerra and co. may be planning, trading a lower level draft choice and/or maybe a player thrown in and get a Mike Glennon type backup
..does this not sound like a typical Jerra move ?

THIS IS HOW WE ENDED UP WITH MATT CASSEL.

We have slided by with Romo.

And frankly we have changed defenses to better help him..

we have hired and fired entire coaching staffs to help him..

we have committed 3 #1 picks in the OL to help him..

If you added up all the money spent and time wasted..

it would be a huge fortune and still we would have 3 playoff wins to show for it.

It's just clear to me we just can't keep bringing in retreads to support a guy who just doesn't have the talent to get to the next level.

I understand that the Franchise has been reluctant to invest in a top QB from the draft because we have never been drafting in the top 5..

all the 8-8 seasons were a mirage causing us to hold on to Romo and adopt the mentality that we were just a couple of players away.

We are not.

We are several players away and it starts with Romo.

We have to draft a QB while we phase out Romo and attempt to add the other pieces as we go.

We maybe in for another 4-12 year with all the problems we are having on defense.

But regardless..addressing QB short-term is not the answer.

Mike Glennon hasn't done anything to warrant throwing in a player along with a draft pick. He's 5-13 as a starting QB with a 58.8 career completion percentage and an 83.7 career passer rating. With Romo aging and having injury concerns we have to start thinking past just backup QB and start thinking about his replacement. The smart move would be to use a premium pick on a QB who might not only make a solid backup but a solid starting QB one day.

All you're going to get by trading for a backup QB like Glennon is a backup QB who's proven they can't get it done consistently as a starting QB. The Cowboys already wasted a 7th round pick on Cassel who lasted less than a season. It's time to get serious and draft a SOLID QB prospect who hopefully can be a dependable backup and if luck is on our side our future at the position.

Aside from Brady, I don't trust taking a qb from NE. Cassell was looking awesome over there. Bill Bellichick knows how to design offenses.
