Ok tired of the baker thread, but in it someone brought up jimmy, and he also beat dallas in wc game.
He wouldnt be that expensive would he ? maybe a 1 year deal?
just imagine dak having to compete with JG in TC!

And I will be clear , I am NOT saying he is better than dak, I would put them in similar category,
only jimmy has won more play off games.

Then of course dak would start the season, but if he struggles, or he needs a couple games off,
they would have a capable bkup to take over.
Also it would probably light a fire under dakko !

As it is with just rush and dinucci, as bkups, dak is relaxed and can just coast , sit in a chair with one
of those drinks with a umbrella ! He has absolutely no competition right now.

I also think it would be fun to see JG play with dallas, dont know how well he would do, but it would be
fun to watch?

Very valid suggestion, Garoppolo has a lot of talents that dak lacks.
As you said , Jerry probably will never do such a move as he is too invested in dak as his golden pick,

Jimmy G is a product of the talent SF assembled around him, not because he is a great QB. He's not a better QB than Dak so yet again I find these silly threads posing to replace Dak to be ridiculous. This thread is not as ridiculous as the Baker Mayfield thread but still ridiculous nonetheless.

Dak did under-perform last year, no question. So did many of our core players too!! Should we look to replace the with weaker talent as well?? We also led the league in penalties. They're were times Dak made big plays or converted big 3rd downs and they we're called back because of illegal formations, holding, or offensive pass interference. People don't mention that though.

How many times last season our opponents were 3rd and 5 and our defense jumps offsides, hands to the face, defensive holding, or our opponents are 3rd and 10, 3rd and 15 and they just throw a long ball to the receivers Anthony Brown is guarding for the automatic PI??

How many times have Kellen Moore ran the same plays and failed to adjust to the flow of the game???

So if we're going to lobby to get rid of everyone who under-performed, let us start with McCarthy on down. Hopefully we'll have enough players and personnel to play this season if this is our approach.

Well they haven't moved on from him yet. If it was a regulation decision they would have already moved on. I think they will go with Lance - whether it works out we shall see.

I commend teams like the 49ers and Rams who go all in on another QB after reaching but losing in a Superbowl. Other teams like the Cowboys give up the farm to retain a QB coming off a leg injury (the ability to use his wheels were his strength) and has won a single play off game over 6 years. Other teams who retain similar QB achieve squat as well like Cousins at the Vikings.

I wouldn’t say drafting Lance was going all in on a QB
Or giving the picks they did
But they were so desperate they paid a huge price
They wouldn’t have gave all that for a QB if they thought Jimmy G was the answer
