I would prefer Jimmy G over Prescott, he's far better value at the QB position, but sadly it isn't going to happen. Jimmy G is easily a starter in this league and a good one at that - he has been QB of a team that has won a lot of games and reached a Superbowl. Wins are a team stat but his team mates like him and he has been a part of a team that has won a lot including in the play offs.

The front office gave Prescott a huge contract (restructured as well) plus a no trade clause. We are stuck with him for at least 2 more seasons.

Of course they were all in. All in on moving on from Garoppolo. If they valued him, they would have extended him.

A front office that offers an mid tier, injured QB elite money and a no trade clause is more brain dead than anyone belittling a QB who has played in the Superbowl and NFC Championship game over a QB with 1 play off win in 6 years on two loaded teams (2016 and 2021).

Jimmy G threw a total of 7 passes in the second half to get to that Super Bowl. I think people forget how good the niners were at running the ball that year lol.

Lol. If you think Jimmy G wins that game with the penalties dallas had to try and over come there is no helping you. I have many niner fans as friends and they would take Prescott over Jimmy G in a heartbeat. Lol.

He's on the last year of his contract. I'm assuming he'll start this year because Lance simply isn't the better option.

I don't know what they were thinking trading up for Lance. If he doesn't work out, I wouldn't even consider him a bust. I didn't think he was any good to begin with.

Jimmy was actually playing hurt last year in the playoffs with a turn ligament in his right. Also, guy can make plays but throw the absolute dumbest pass that would boggle your mind how bad it was thrown.

one of those throws that led to an INT on the sideline is the only reason Dallas even made the game look closer than it was. Otherwise they were having zero problems moving the ball on that drive as well from what I recall.

Indeed similar to the Rams who made the decision to move on with a QB who got them over the hump - effectively makes the front offices of The Cowboys and Vikings the dumbest out there overpaying for QBs who are unable to win a Superbowl in the modern game.

You both must not have watched allot of Niners games huh? There is a reason the Niners drafted a QB in the first round. There is also a reason why no teams was interested in trading a 1st for Jimmy. I doubt a team offered a 2nd or 3rd. If a team did, Lynch needs to be fired (SB appearance and all).

I’m not saying Dak is special elite but there are not allot of scenarios where I’d want Jimmy freaking Garrapolo as my QB. My god.
