We beat one team with a winning record.

So if the Bengals beat the Ravens this week they will have a winning record, and they’re were a SB team last season.

So does that count as a quality team and a winning record. Or does the 0-1 records (a game they should have won) still count as beating a losing team. But are now 2-2.

If we beat the Rams with a 2-2 record, does that count as a losing record since they will be 2-3. Though they were not a losing team when we beat them. Nor a winning team.

I guess it depends on the narratives and agendas. This beating teams with winning or losing records goes for many if not all teams and QB’s.

Does NY Giants being undefeated when we played them count as winning record?

Just to reinforce the OP's point:

I hope that Moore sticks with the greater emphasis on play-action after Dak gets back, but I'm afraid it'll be right back to 3 wides, sling it around the yard, Boise football.

I keep hearing that but his WR being held and just happen to the WR he was throwing to. Works the same for every QB, you hold on to the WR and you get a pick well int is waved off and penalty is assessed
Yeah, I thought one of those picks was because the receiver was held, but I can't say for sure he would have gotten there.

I saw the flag before either of the picks were thrown. Washington was trying to keep WR from getting off the line but were holding big time. Passes are thrown before the WR makes his break if that WR is held it is incomplete or intercepted. I will say the one throw down the middle Rush was on his back foot with defender on top on him, he was not able to put much on the throw.

Brown was held on one of the picks but the ball was underthrown by about 5 yards so I'm not sure there would have been any difference if he wasn't. On the other one the flag was away from the ball so I know that one had no impact on the throw or the pick. They were both poor throws and bad decisions the he got away with. Of course all QBs have those.. but couple those two with all the ones that the Bengals dropped and dude is scaring the hell outta me. Eventually some of those are going to count and only people who just hate the other guy claim they aren't seeing the bad throws. This offense is laboring mightily to put points on the board.. Thankfully the defense has made it so they don't really have to put many up.. but at some point an offense is going to be able to hang 24 to 30 points on us.. And I have seen no signs that the current bunch can match that against a team with a good defense. But I will be happy to be proven wrong..

oh, so stats matter now? I didn't get that memo and it's hard to keep up with y'all...

when trying to determine why the offense is not producing people will look to stats. Cowboys have not been good on 3rd down, we are ranked 30th. In the end all I care about is the win but when looking at overall reasons why offense is ranked low yeah stats tend to give a reason for it. Again we are tops in the NFL in not turning the ball over, that is a big stat especially for an offense that is not producing

Our offense is working better lately because our defense has lowered the bar on what the offense needs to accomplish for the overall team to win.

For now yes, they were 2-0. However as I said depending on one’s agenda, at the end of the season if NY ends up 8-9 there will be those that say we did not beat them as a team with a winning record.
Especially if we beat then twice, therefore they effectively was 8-7, but our two wins drop them to 8-9.

You know what I mean and what my point is.

Rush has proven to be a good backup. But anyone who thinks he’s starter material does not know what they are talking about. IMHO

Stats, stats, stats.

Probably changes sans the first game.

Again the only important one is the W.

Rather win by one, with 300 total O yards, than losing by gaining 500 yards and being ranked #1 offense in the league.

Cincy is .500, and coming off of a Super Bowl appearance and the Giants are 3-1. Why minimize this team's accomplishments? It's not like they've been playing a bunch of scrubs.

Cooper Rush has been excellent and it’s been a definite blessing to the team. He’s keeping us afloat until QB1 returns but I think this conversation from ESPN (if all places) digs into why our offense is working despite not having our starting QB.

Thoughts?

He has been a bus driver. They have done a much better job game planning, calling plays and sticking to the run. OL has been better as a result. Defense is the main reason they are 3-1.

You guys that think Rush is better than Dak are clueless.

In the video they were basically saying being under center helps keep the defense honest. The DB's end up looking in the backfield longer and it slows down the defensive lineman. You add those two things together and it will make an offense look more efficient.

In 2016 Dak played under center a lot.

10 pts. 16 pts. 17 pts....

and commitment to running the ball. in the three wins we rushed 27,25,29 times. in the loss 18 times.
