Sorry I'm not from Texas, but I hear everything is BIGGER there. Is there not a location we can hold camp at, instead of having it way out in California??

I'm sure there's a field we can use nearby, what's the point?? Give me your thoughts
its a marketing strategy for cowboys to expand their fan base, in northern california. plus the weather is much nicer for practice since its july and august and its scorching hot in texas.

Young people handle Texas heat better than older people.. Is this news to you? I had no trouble doing two a days in Florida, one in full pads in the mid afternoon when I was in junior high and high school. By the time I was 30 I couldn't finish one workout in that heat. Drive by any playground in any town in the South in the summertime and you will find no shortage of little kids out there having a great time doing active stuff.. What you won't find is a ton of people over 25 doing anything except looking for shade..
True. But when you're in the military, age makes no difference when forced to do pt twice a day while running 10 miles every other day in the heat.

No one is saying it cannot be done... We are simply saying it is far from ideal. There is more to football training camp than getting into physical condition. They are training to play football not run half marathons.

The military cares very much about the heat conditions its personnel is exposed to. They even have regulations governing these things. Despite your suggestion, being "forced" to run in the heat at certain temperatures is strictly forbidden. That's how people die. The military does PT in the morning or night when it is cooler. If you find yourself being forced to run in the heat of the day, someone is risking a court-martial.

last time I went to Oxnard I was shocked at how bleeped up the parking lot was, the fans parking lot. It was all broken, uneven gravel, full of dust. Every car pulling out near you would send a dust cloud into your face as you were getting into your own car, then the ride out would just be bumpy all the way until you got to the road, which was far as it was a huge lot. What the heck would it cost to pave the darn thing? One game check for the back up long snapper?

Has that been fixed since 2015?

Yet we saw fewer injuries. The 16 now 17 game season is a marathon. Being in top condition helps avoid injuries. I don't think anyone is suggesting putting them through the junction boy training camp but yes I think it would toughen this team up.

I would prefer the Cowboys not have anything to do with California.

I miss camps at Wichita Falls. Some of my fondest memories as a kid.

Money and weather.

Cooler in Onxnard. Cowboys make more money in Oxnard. Simple.

Yeah, it's one thing to practice in the heat, which is less than ideal. It's another to expect people to watch said practice when it's scorching out.
