Why should we hire Deion Sanders?

Like lots of people here, my mind lives in the 90s. In the 90s, Deion was the only CB that existed in my mind like Shannon Sharpe was the only Tight End that existed.

But as a coach, he has done nothing. He was 9-4 this year in a lame conference. Im not expecting a miracle from him in his 2nd year, but if he's such a top coach.... why can't he elevate such an overhyped program with 2 Heisman candidates into at least a playoff birth? Making the playoffs is a joke now.... Arizona St turned around faster than Deion did.... and they didn't have a coach anyone cared about before this year. Maybe his 3rd year is his year, but the possibility of that is kinda dubious now with his 2 Heisman loverboys going to the NFL.

Also, we know picks 1, 2 and 3 are Sanders, Ward, and Hunter name your order. If Shedur goes to the Giants.... who's to say he can remain objective and without emotion sending Parsons and the full fleet against his son twice a year?

I say we hire Jon Gruden. He was my favorite coach in the early 00s. Ok maybe you can argue Martz, but he was a playcaller primarily. Gruden can REALLY build a team. Look what he did with Oakland and Tampa.... 2 black hole franchises at the time. Maybe he didn't "build" Tampa, but I highly doubt Dungy wins the Super Bowl with that 02 team.
Jerry likes the hype. A ton of focus on the Cowboys.

Well, he Is the franchises all-time passing leader. So there's that. ......But, Parcels only had Romo as a starter for one year. So, how much impact did you expect?
He was coached under Parcells for 3 seasons. Also Dak is more than likely taking that passing leader title this upcoming season, so it doesn't mean much

If you think NFL players won't follow Deion Sanders, an iconic hall of fame player with a personality the size of Australia, I don't know what to tell you. I mean, I guess the new generation is young. But they know who Deion Sanders is.
How does Deion make Micah a better football player? Not better in dealing with his fame. But better technically.

How does Deion help Mazi or any other guy ranked 15-52 on the roster?

He’d be great for Diggs and Bland. But I don’t think he cares to get into the details of how to make players better for other positions.

What does that have to do with his play on the field? Are we trying to get Dak a commentary job after his career is over too?
All the other TOP cowboys QBs over the years have a commentating gig lol, he's on pace

Deion would be a disaster as head coach. I think Jerry thinks with Deion he is catching lightning in a bottle. He thinks Deion is the 2nd coming of Jimmy Johnson. But Jimmy reached the top rung of college football in Miami. Deion has built a pretty average team around his sons. Deion is not Jimmy Johnson.

To make things worse, hiring Deion probably means we draft Shedeur in the first round. I have watched Colorado a few times the last two years and Shedeur is nothing special and all this talk about him being the first pick in the draft is just Deion pumping up nonsense to help his son. Shedeur would be an awful choice for Dallas. The problem is, if Deion is coach, how do you get him to bench his son if he sucks? How do you cut him? How do you fire Deion with his son on the team. Too many problems.

As for Deion, does he really want to give up all the control he has in Colorado to come and play water boy for Jerry?

Parcells chewed Romo, and where did that get Romo?
Romo needed more time to develop under a real HC. Romo had to figure out alot of stuff on his own and everything clicked for him a bit too late in his career.

Gruden can't relate to modern players and he is a horrible judge of talent...especially QB talent.

No thank you.
