I don't know if anyone on this site has complained and been more negative about the OL than I have.[/B][/I] This move has shut me up and made me feel 10000% better than I did only a week ago. Do I wish we could have signed more guys in the trenches earlier? Yes. But better late than never, and if this works out like I think it will, Watch out NFL, here come the Dallas Cowboys!!!!

My guess is you don't even get a sniff of first place on this one. LOL

I heard he secretly was the brains behind the '86 Giants' Super Bowl win and Parcells and Belichick have been riding his coattails ever since.

It's funny you say that.
Alex Jones told me the very same thing a few years ago during an EPIC bender in New Orleans.

I told him he was crazy out of his gourd. The parrot sitting on the lady's shoulder next to us that kept spouting "Wanna go outside? Wanna pee-pee?" echoed my sentiments.
The poor bird was drinking cheap rum- no mixer, no chaser and the woman: she looked like she might just have been Tammy Faye. My recollection isn't what it used to be when it was filled with good libation.

He bit that bird's head off like he was a starving Osbourne.

I have to admit- That act convinced me and here you are now. Telling me the same darn thing.
Waters... whew! We got ourselves a player then!

I wonder if Ol' Jonesy's still hiding under that lunch pale on South Lamar in Austin?
I ought to tell him Mara joined the Bilderbergers- goes to some Owl Meetings, or something.

It's better to just Panic now. So that way if he doesn't work out your panic attack is justified

If it does work out, your blood pressure drops, and you can act like you were on board all along.

I like the Waters signing very much and it offers a welcome salve to the anxiety I was experiencing over the decision to move Free to guard. What I don't like about the signing is that it suggests that our perennial issues at the guard spot have not adequately been addressed and will need dealing with again next year. Perhaps then we will have a longer-term solution.

What kind of message does Jerry Jones send to his team when a player doesn't make the 53 man roster to make room for a 36 year old that purposefully skipped training camp?

Jerry did say that Frederick was the first step at rebuilding the interior of the line. I'm guessing we target a first round guard next year. If Leary pans out that's 4 of 5 positions locked down for years.

If Waters plays like he did in New England, the Cowboys will have an offense without any weaknesses. That's huge in age of parity. Before he signed, the right side looked like a potentially serious hole that teams could exploit over and over again like they have in the past. It's not that Waters alone is difference between playoffs and no playoffs. It's the domino effect of a rookie center dealing with a porous right side.

If I were a skins fan ( like you are) I would be more worried about the message this defense will send to RGknee when we play you guys

That we're prepared to do what it takes to win the East if we can?

That we're not ok with starting OG's who are as prone to injury as your franchise QB?

Jerry wouldn't send this "message", given its incoherence.

Its plenty clear. Your locker room is going to fall apart, as it has consistently since Parcells left, because of the inequity in allowing a 36 year old who skipped camp onto the roster in place of a younger prospect.

Bringing in over the hill players from other teams doesn't work. We've had to learn that the hard way...doesn't look like Jerry has.

I don't see why anyone would be mad at this signing. I'm not expecting Pro-Bowl Brian Waters, but as long as we get a version that is better than what we currently have on O-line, this is a great move.

True Dat lol, just his knowledge alone is worth it. He is from everything I heard/read is very physical as well, we definately needed that. Like the article said wait until Fred and Leary see how physical he is.

The team quit on Wade, but things have been pretty rosy since then. By all accounts, players enjoy playing for Garrett. When has the locker room been falling apart?

If a worm had a machine gun the birds wouldn't try to eat him. I'm sure a month ago Jerry Jones said to himself....I could sign Waters now, but that is what the other teams would be expecting...... besides, I love to piss off those negative Cowboyszoners, so I will wait until the last minute, just to piss them off.

I don't understand you at all. Your worm with a gun scenario is extremely interesting though. Thanks !
As far as annoying the negative crybabies please do. They are very annoying.

So we have brought in ONE over 30 ex PRO Bowl guard and the locker room is going to fall apart? What evidence do you have that Brian Waters is over the hill?

Sounds like Brian Waters is making someone a little nervous.

You sound nervous. You should be. Caught teams off guard with a gimmicky offense that won't last. Respect Rg3 a lot, but I'm afraid he won't last either. Not wishing it. I just feel he's injury prone.
