Wilcox hurt in practice

This was a situation that anyone could've seen coming, we have absolutely no depth on the backend.

Playing against one of the most pass happy teams in the league isn't a time to lose your starting safety.

This alone could make this game even more of a shootout, we just have to have JJ out there right now cause all we have are scrubs behind him.

No team has depth at every position.

I would rather not have to deal with the injury at all but it is what it is, we could have had more depth there but then we take depth from somewhere else. Bottom line Heath has to go in and do the job. I like the fact he has been playing as of late so at least he is not cold off the bench. In the meantime I hope Wilcox will not have to miss much time.

Guess I have a problem with the thought process of Leary MIGHT be hurt and we try to burn down the stadium but a starting safety goes out against one of the most pass happy teams in the league and everyone is like Heath will do the job.....lol.

Yeah right.

I'm not happy about it but you can only have so much depth, I wish we had depth at every position because it is never a problem until you have an injury at that position. Fact is all teams only have so much depth if we put more at safety that means we take depth from some place else. I don't know what kind of job Heath will do and yes it is a concern

Damn, I was feeling OK about the game too. Huge drop off with Heathcliff. The offense will have to play like it hasn't been able to over the last two weeks.

Lets not act like Wilcox is a can't lose player. I'm not saying i want Mccray back there, but this team must have a lot of confidence in Heath's ability if they were willing to part ways with will allen so quickly.

I trust they know what they are seeing in practice. My guess is heath will fill in just fine if needed.

This has me a little worried. Heath was one of the best udfa's in camp, iirc. We kept him around for a reason. We'll see if he can get the job done when his number is called. They wouldn't have let will Allen go if they didnt think Heath was capable of getting the job done.

Take it for what it's worth but Broaddus tweeted that he feels like Heath can fill in for Wilcox without too much of a drop in play.

I disagree
OL yes
DL we are playing the depth
secondary no
RB yes
WR yes
QB Yes

I would say:
QB yes
RB yes
WR yes
OL yes with guys who have started on the bench
TE yes, but young
DL no....street guys at this point
LB yes
CB no only a late round rookie
S no only UDFAs

We really need a defensive draft coming up, cause that side of the ball is desperate.

I agree, I will say this for the DL some of these street guys like Selvie could find themselfs as a starter should he continue to play as is and others on the DL have shown they could provide solid depth but yes I would love to add to the DL

CB Dallas only went with 4 and Webb hard to say how he will develop but yes an area that could be addressed and of course 4 at safety I like what I have seen out of Church and Wilcox, Heath now has a chance to show himself and of course McCray kept more for special teams

You have to have at least one safety with speed in this defense preferably two. We have played a bit of 1 deep man under lately and its worked out well. Not having range at that safety position hurts and I'm not aware that Heath has that much speed and I know Church doesn't have it in abundance.

How can anyone say we don't have depth on offensive line when we've lost Ratliff, Spencer, Crawford, Bass and now Ware and its still probably one of the strongest parts of our team?
