It looked like Wilcox was playing a lot of man coverage vs. Celek last week while Church was the 1-deep safety. I hope this injury doesn't make the Cowboys play less man coverage. Church or Heath should be able to do a okay job on Pettigrew, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.

We should probably cut him or trade for Eric Berry because Wilcox is clearly made of glass.

Heath has been playing in different packages so he does have some time spent on the field

Good to see that the injury isn't too severe and hope he can play against Vikings.

As we have already learned 40 times are pointless........see Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Dez Bryant, Dwayne Harris, ect...........I would rather have a guy with football speed than track speed

I agree. I think having the quickness and speed is important I also think being able to read a play and react to what you are seeing is just as important. Heath has some good physical tools that is why he made it to the NFL but now he has to show he has the mental side of this game to see a play, break it down quickly and react to it.

Exactly why you could throw Barry Churchs 4.68 40 times out the window. The play breaks down so much faster in his head and he reacts so much faster than a guy with a 4.38 40 time. You lose 3 tenths of a second in speed, but gain a whole second in smarts with a true football player.

Well, on a tit for tat basis, it's notable that Reggie Bush is not practicing today because of an upper leg issue. No details, but that sounds problematic for a RB.

The uplifting aspect of these injuries of late is that we have folks that can step in and adequately do the job. That's very refreshing.

I remember Heath forced a fumble and was the second coming of Christ.

This was the preseason.

So I guess we are good?

Matt Johnson is the second coming of christ, Heath is the third and a half.

Second and a half coming for christ was Nick Foles

Listening to Garrett and Broaddus Heath is as good or almost as good as Wilcox.

With Heath in there, I am hoping for a return of the forced fumbles. Strip drills Kiffin!

For real. What happened to this? We did it against the Giants, and then we haven't seen the same type of effort in this area since.
