No a rookie QB does not deserve criticism for being put in the starting lineup halfway through the year and taking a team from out of the playoffs to in the playoffs before losing. If I am going to criticize Lamar for losing in the first round as a rookie, should I criticize Allen more for failing to make the playoffs at all? I am assuming you are not saying you think its better for a player to not make the playoffs. This is Lamar's 3rd WC ever because they kept being the 1 seed (and he clearly is doing the Josh Allen thing of beating up a bad WC team) and he is 1-1 in the WC round whereas Allen is 4-1. Allen gets to beat up on a bad WC team before losing in the divisional round and I am not giving him credit for losing in the same round as Lamar just because you were not good enough in the regular season to get the bye.
Kept being the number one seed? Theyve been the one seed twice. The first time they lost to the 6th seed Titans. Whats his excuse for that?

Id get someone still in their prime tbh. Veteran QBs are not working anymore. Cousins, Rodgers, and Wilson are all bottom half of the league QBs at this point.
You are not getting that in free agency. If you are a free agent QB in your prime, who is or was at some point any good, your team is locking you up. You are basically either looking for a draft bust, and hoping they work out, or signing a veteran and hoping they have one good year left.

I dont need one because it goes in the 1-2 category along with Allen's 1-3. I was not discounting Divisional Round games. I am discounting games like this where you clearly have a team that is clearly overmatched, just like what the Bills get every year being the 2 seed. The fact that you are dodging looking at the Divisional Round really is the answer. Allen can stat pad against bad teams but once you tell him to ball out against a good team, he looks exactly the same as Lamar in the playoffs. Josh Allen is likely going to have a game exactly like this tomorrow and I wont give it extra credit either just like I do not give Lamar credit for this. These WC rounds are just about getting the scrubs out of the playoffs.

McCarthy demands to be traded to a spot where he's the starter than backup, and Steelers pounce.

That was his one good game (similar to how Lamar had his one good game against Houston). Its a shame the other 3 games he looked bad in the divisional round (previous year against Baltimore, next year against Bengals and following year against Chiefs). Basically if he has looked good in the divisional round once and bad every other time, congratulations you have the same divisional round success as Lamar.

Or Vikings say no unless they a top 15 pick in return and that is the end of that conversation for the Steelers (someone actually might pay that considering there are 4 QB needy teams in the top 10 right now and JJ would be QB1 in this draft).

Cowturd and Wright has him on the top 5. You obviously don’t pay attention. Herbert and Harbaugh together is supposed to challenge Reid and Mahomes. When they did the annual coaches, scouts, GM pole he was rated on the same tier as the guys below Mahomes.
So, those guys don't know what they're talking about but you do. Guess which side I'm picking.
