Will Dallas Beat KC?

If the line blocks for Bledsoe, I think we can rape and pillage KC's crappy secondary. If he gets pressured like in the NY, no way in hell we will win. Defensively if Dallas can keep pressure on T Green and keep their running game in check, I think we can shut them down very well. If our DB's play well, this will be another close last possession type of game.

My prediction: 28-24 Dallas

Our D will shut them down just like they've done to other TOP ranked offenses all year long. KC D can be had, especially in their secondary. Big day for Glenn and Crayton. I look for JJ to get off this weekend too. We WIN 28-17...

What top ranked offenses have you shut down? I notice you managed to hold San Francisco to only 31 points.

Try the Eagles (with Mcnabb and TO) and the Chargers for starters.....

Giants rank in the top 10 and the seahawks as well.

Sorry, but our secondary isn't crappy at all now that Warfield and Surtain are healthy. Surtain's been to multiple Probowls. Warfield was a below average #1 corner, but he's a strong #2. Sammy Knight leads the NFL in turnovers forced in the last 7 years or so. Greg Wesley has 6 INTs and 69 tackles.

You'd better hope that Bledsoe doesn't throw for a lot of yards because it won't be in your gameplan. If you're throwing the ball all over the yard it means you're playing from behind. If the Cowboys fall behind by 10-14 points, the game's over.

Yep-however, that was early in the season when our new 3-4 was a work in progress. Back then, even Anthony Henry looked AWFUL. Now, Henry et al have really played wonderfully.

It's alot like Gunther Cunningham with your team-as the Chiefs D was learning his new schemes, they got better.

You do know you don't have a prayer in the playoffs, don't you?

Oh I know. I'm just stirring the pot. Dallas has a very good D. Chiefs fans are well aware of it. It's your secondary that worries me. The Chiefs don't have great WRs, but our offensive line makes a living by dominating rushers and giving the WRs time to get open. Even the best secondary can't cover NFL WRs for more than a few seconds and Green is great at finding the open man and progressing through his reads.

And the same thing can be said for the Chargers.

Heck-both the Chiefs and Chargers are a heck of alot better than the Gints and Seahawks. But sadly, they happen to be in that beast AFC, unlike this panty-weight NFC.

And that will make two teams playing on Sunday in Texas Stadium that likely won't make much noise in the playoffs.

I would be hesistant to throw stones at a team that has a better record than we do and has just as much of a chance to do damage in the playoffs as we do.

That has a lot to do with this game. Excellent observation!

Too bad your team isn't in this panty-weight NFC.

Frankly-if the 04 Iggles were in the AFC, TO would have screamed at Donovan on the sidelines EVERY week.

Right now, I'd say that's a realistic opinion.

However, if KC makes the play-offs, they'll have to get there by beating 3 and likely 4 very good teams in the next 4 weeks. So if we are able to win 6 of our last 7 to get there, then we will have accomplished enough to convince me that we have a shot at winning some post-season games.

A bad start and some stupid stumbles along the way make me skeptical of what this team is really capable of. A successful run at the end of the season against tough competition would change my mind. If we get there, we'll have earned it.

And it's never a bad thing to be peaking at the right time.

The Chiefs could fall behind 14-0 in the first quarter and still win a 34-30 type of game. That's not a swipe at your defense. It's just the way the Chiefs are build. We score on offense, force a lot of turnovers and give up a lot of points on defense, and can score in the blink of an eye on special teams.
Now that our secondary is healthy, we can really force teams into mistakes when they are playing from behind. Ask Tom Brady about his career-high 4 INTs 2 weeks ago.

Well, from the tone of the Chiefs fans' posts in this thread, you'd think that they've already got reservations for Detroit.

Here's an observation: The Chiefs stink on the road. How's that?

I think in order for a team to stink on the road I think they would have a losing record on the road. Dont you ?? the Chiefs are 3-3 on the road. The boys are 2-3 on the road right now I believe and that would quality for a stinky road team.
