Will Matt Johnson be cut this week

To tell you the truth, I don't want to see him cut. I really STILL want to see what this guy has. Look at it this way, everyone needs to stop looking at this guy as a possible starter. Here is the way I see it, could he be a nickel/dime safety and a good special teams player? Yes he can, just don't think you could count on the guy to start. Plus it would be a shame if we sit here through the injury times with him and then he actually makes something of himself with a team like the patriots.

Exactly, Ratliff probably doesn't even know who Johnson is. This guy was given every opportunity and just couldn't do it!

Except you mean....for the fact...that in the time we have seen him on the field he has competent?

And you know....for the fact...that the team has had nothing but good things to say about him....and clearly have kept him on the roster to protect him from the rest of the league.

But I guess for someone like you who doesn't think the front office is very good at selecting and developing players this doesn't mean much to you....except for...you know...our last three draft classes having been excellent.

I don't believe Matt Johnson can play. Healthy or not. I think there's a reason he wasn't even considered a priority free agent from the various draft resources available.

This guy did one thing and one thing only to impress anyone. Get drafted by the Cowboys.

I don't think anyone knows if he can play, healthy or not. Not the fans, not the team, hell not even college coach. The guy played at a small school and other than a cool mixtape there's nothing to say he would even excel in the SEC.

I cannot recall him ever being mentioned and know nothing about him, but from what I did see from him this past game, he looks like a player to me! I'm impressed with the dude!

Ansah had no instincts and never adjusted to the speed of the game. He got clocked on a peelback once that made it abundantly obvious. He did have a shoulder injury at one point but injury prone was not his issue.

I can only guess that by AOA status you mean that they are S that played for the Cowboys that you have chosen to hope to fail.

He did hurt himself most recently break up a pass on the sideline. Irony at its finest.

Jeff Heath is a player! He is always the first man down the field on special teams, he hits hard and makes plays. IR for Johnson most likely.

He has very nice pro day measurables as well

What rope has he been given? It's not like he's stuck around on the roster for a few years (or even two). I guess the team should have just cut him on the spot the first time he got injured in training camp?
