Will McClay destroyed this season

He had 188 snaps this year. For comparison san Williams had 273. Sam had 4 sacks to nolans 1. You'd like for the point to be moot for your own inflated ego. But nahhhhhh.
That’s a lot more snaps and doesn’t change my point at all but all good. Moving along.

It's less than 100 more snaps. Basically an underwhelming 2nd rounder sam Williams had a better rookie year than hyped up bpa Nolan Smith. It would be best to move along indeed for you.

Move along then. This your second post about moving along. You know you took a L so shut up and just take it. 2024 is a new year for you to be wrong about prospects
What a great attitude and perspective you bring to the forum. Keep up the good work!

as far the cowboys go FORGET IT. just more bs even the taking heads on the podcast don't even have a good word and guess what bonehead i can't help but throw interceptions in playoff games gonna be signed by that senile old man and guess what it's down hill for this team and top all off there gonna be cap strap or so they say. the new al davis

When this team lets the board come to them and picks BPA, it usually turns out pretty well. When they reach and prioritize drafting for position, it usually goes bad.

The unwritten rule zero of the draft is "pick a good football player." I won't argue with anyone that a big 330 lb stuffer NT was a need last year. But drafting a 330 lb run stuffer NT who sucks at playing football didn't help anything.

This years draft was a colossal failure

Shambolic - asinine drafting

Luke schoonmaker is clown - mazzi smith is a pathetic excuse for a run stopper

Jerry relied on him and bypassed free agency .

Add the flops of Tolbert and 5 db ‘s from a year ago and he deserves heat.
So will mock you but I agree. Throw in Taco, Trystan Hill and Jaylon Smith who all were 1st/2nd rd picks that bombed. Now mix is the disaster of the 2023

Bingo.

williams showed his intelligence to by telling the dallas police his gps was the reason he was speeding. So there goes his intelligence down the drain

Yes and Dallas has done excellent at this before so lets hope they get back to these methods!

I had a thread taken down yesterday about ESPN’s draft class ranking. Our class ranked dead last. We got more production out of our UDFA class than our draft class.

Dead last

McClay is pedestrian
McClay is the only reason they had a chance. He’s a guru finding players other GM’s miss. Cowboys have been one of the best drafting teams since he’s been here. You need to educate yourself before making such a ridiculous thread.

Cowboys have drafted some outstanding players over the last decade, if we're going to blast McClay for 23 we have to give him props for prior drafts :). Only fair

With all that said, it is dissapointing we didn't get much of anything from our rookies this year, but its hard to pass judgement after 1 year. Pretty much most of this draft was for players that likely would occupy backup roles in year 1. It seems Overshown could have been the exception, but he's not a big LB either.

I wasn't a fan of the Schoonmaker pick at the time and don't know that he'll ever crack the lineup with Ferg.

Mazi will have to show more in year 2, but wouldn't hit the panic button quite yet. Needs to work on technique and get stronger at the point of attack, but there were some positives plays that hopefully he can build on and get more consistent.

It was taken down because the link to the full article required a subscription to see the content.
I put it there so people would know it exists and that I’m not making it up. But whatever. You gonna start correcting my grammar next?
