From what I researched after the 2023 draft is that every team wanted Mazi Smith becuase of his size.
Problem is Mazi Smith tape was one of the most unimpressive tapes I've seen for a first round pick
in some time.

The Schoonmaker pick wasn't McClay, apparently all MM wanted was a TE, they did that for the HC.
Blame MM, he's the main problem.

Will McClay cannot fail, he can only be failed. Much like some other members of this organization.

I'm interested in someone/anyone telling us why Mazi was playing at #307 later in the year. Why have your nose tackle lose so much weight at that position ?
Simply to get him quicker off the ball ? as a nose, he needs the girth. Lost weight and playing strength, did no one know what to do with him ?

Jerry relied on him and bypassed free agency .

Add the flops of Tolbert and 5 db ‘s from a year ago and he deserves heat.

If Overshown plays well in 2024, does that change things? Several things could happen. We could see some improvement from the picks across the board including the players that didn't play.

And his quickness off the ball had nothing to do with his weight. It was a mental or vision thing. They need someone to work on that with him and get it out of his system. He either wants to be successful or he can hit the highway.

Just from this draft? His entire body of work is spotty....

Has hit big on some picks....but way too many misses IMO.
