Will Parsons have better career than DWare?

Yeah, well I'm going to ask you the questions again so everyone sees you ignoring them.

1. What player in Ware's prime was better than him?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_2000s_All-Decade_Team

You have Allen (who didn't even make the all-decade team, Ware was chosen over him) and Polamalu

2. How can Parson's be on Donald's level when Parson has had no success in the playoffs, while at the same time, tearing down Ware for lack of playoff success?

Since you can't answer the questions, take your ball and get in your crappy car and go home.

Seeing that you like being slapped around like a rag doll I’ll play your game. There were “players” during DWare’s prime that were better than him but most considered him the best “pass rusher” during his prime. The only pass rushers that are mentioned with him are Jared Allen and Sean Merriman early in his career before injuries and steroids caught up with him. DWare was a great player but at no point during his career was he seen in the same light as Aaron Donald is today or he would have been a lock first ballot Hall of Famer. DWare was never considered the best defensive player in the entire league, only the best pass rusher. Micah Parsons is on the same level as Aaron Donald and some are putting him ahead of Donald as the best defensive player in the entire league. Some are saying Parsons may be the best player period in the entire league.

Practically everyone around the NFL that gets paid to talk football is putting Parsons on the same level as Aaron Donald. Where the heck have you been? Lol Many are saying he’s taken over Aaron Donald’s throne as the best defensive player in the league. You’re claiming you haven’t heard these comments? They were being mentioned during the Rams/Cowboys game on Sunday! As for the playoffs Parsons has only been in the playoffs once as a rookie. The Cowboys never made the playoffs during DWare’s rookie year. Parsons helped turn our historically bad defense in 2020 into one of the better units in the league in one season. Now we have the best defense we’ve had since the 90s. The Cowboys have never had a player in franchise history that’s being talked about as much as Micah Parsons. I answered all your questions and you just got owned again. You keep trying to pull me back in because you’re a glutton for punishment. You’re such a clueless fan you’re boring me!

dware was a nice guy. Rarely making big plays on key 3rd downs. Parsons is a violent leader coming up clutch in key moments. Sunday night was a perfect example sealing the win with a sack/fumble.

You realize you can look up these numbers, yes? Rarely making plays on third down?

2006: 4.5 sacks on third down
2007: 3.5 sacks on third down
2008: 9 sacks on third down
2009: 3 sacks on third down
2010: 8.5 sacks on third down
2011: 2.5 sacks on third down
2012: 4 sacks on third down

2008 and 2010 are incredibly high, the rest are about on average to what he did on other downs.

Micah Parson's in 2021 had 4 sacks on third down and he has 3 this season (will have a pretty high total like Ware had a couple times if he keeps this pace up)

Yeah, that whopping 3 seasons that SHAWNE Merriman had of quality play in the NFL really is worth mentioning - he was around Ware's peak level for about one season, and Ware didn't need to cheat for that success. And you didn't say Ware needed to be a generational player like Donald, you said, and I'll quote: "At no point was DWare ever considered the best defensive player in the entire league" - there is no qualifier here about him needing to be a Donald level player. The first All-Decade team is made up of players that had their primes before Ware's prime - those in their prime DURING Ware's prime was Allen and Polamalu. Allen didn't even make the all-decade team.

You said, and I'll quote: "Some who get paid to talk football seem to think Parsons has surpassed Aaron Donald for that honor."

WHO said this? Note: There is a difference between Parson's being better and having potential to BE better. So give me some quotes - and as I have told you in the past, you never know when to stop. You will go on for pages. You're not done because you don't know when to admit you're wrong.

Not sure what you are trying to prove here. Most of those years seem low. Who were we playing on all these sacks? Was it a key point in the game? Was it at the very end of the game? I recall thinking this about Ware his entire career. Its not made up. Appears most others agree that Ware was not a "clutch" type defender.

Parsons has a way of coming up big in big moments. The guy is a violent player that gets his entire defense revved up and confident. Never felt that way about Ware. Parsons comes from anywhere at any time. Give me Parsons 10 times out of 10. And yes, Im saying that already.

I always felt Ware's numbers over shot his defensive affect. You would think that Ware was like a defense wrecker with all his sacks. He wasnt. Parsons is and teams are already saying it even at this young age.

They were discussing on NFL network a few days ago that Parsons may have surpassed Aaron Donald as the best defensive player in the league. You must be living in a cave if you haven’t heard the comments. Nick Eatman thinks he’s surpassed him. You just got owned again! Lol

They seem low? If those are low, then I guess it was pretty low for Parson's last season and he "didn't show up on third down". Compare them to his peers playing around that time period. The other great pass rusher during that time period was Jared Allen, Allen averages slightly more than Ware but never had peak levels that Ware had in 2008 and 2010.

Eatman isn't "NFL Network" - he's a writer and host for Dallascowboys.com....hence the name of the site you are linking. He's a local guy, the same as Brad Sham. They talk up our players or ridicule them heavily, that's their thing. It's hardly some common thing being said. Did you actually read the article you linked to?

Again, there is a difference in saying Parson's is the best defensive player in the NFL rather than having the POTENTIAL to be. I mean, you realize players like Myles Garrett and TJ Watt exist? To refresh your memory, TJ Watt had 22.5 sacks last season.

Your not getting it buddy. Its about the competition and the timing of the plays. Leadership, affecting the defense.

So ware had two great years on 3rd down. Congrats. Were they against top teams in key moments at the end of games? Momentum swings? And no, every 4th quarter isnt a key moment.

Ware was great, Parsons is better.

LOL like the leadership and timing of...you know, terrorizing Tom Brady, Big Ben, and Cam Newton in the playoffs, having a top 3 pass rusher of the 2010s outright saying "Ware is the reason I am who I am today", and making a sack to help end the 2015 Super Bowl and sending Cam's confidence into the shadow realm? Someone isn't getting it, but I think you should direct it at yourself.

Dude I don't know what you think is common when it comes to sacks on third down - but players aren't averaging 8-10 sacks on third down yearly. They sure as heck weren't in the 00s.

Look bud, its not that he never had some moments. And its not like he sucked. Its just that Parsons does it more and does it better. Parsons is the next level.

And he didnt average 8-10 sacks on 3rd down yearly. That was a random 2 years out of his entire career. You put up the stats that proved yourself wrong.

I’m fully aware nick Eatman isn’t part of NFL Network. The comments about Parsons moving ahead of Aaron Donald were made on NFL Networks Total Access. You asked for someone saying Parsons was better than Aaron Donald and I provided you with a link. You’ll resort to anything to keep an argument going and going. Adios!

Parson's literally had 4 sacks on third down last season, which I have already mentioned. Ware had 4.5 in 06, a season after coming into the league, "bud". Hilarious how 4 for Ware is "seems low" while Parsons is "More". I hate to get technical like this because Parsons had a good game against the Rams, but his sack in the 4th quarter wasn't exactly some game altering play. That happened the drive before with the INT.

And you showed me a local guy who forgets other players exist and an anecdote about what you heard elsewhere. I'm glad we are going to Nick freakin' Eatman for quotes now.

So I guess a season and a half has Parson's better than TJ Watt who is a 4x all-pro player, 3 of which being first team...oh, and forgot to mention, DPOY last season as well.

They were talking about during the game. As they showed Donald sitting on the sideline after Micah had just wrecked Stafford

Exactly. Agreed 100%. In fact I remember being jealous of the Steelers and Ravens back then bc James Harrison and T Suggs were more of the violent, game changing catalysts that D Ware never was. And this MattJames dude is a complete joke- dunno y the dude thinks we’re hating on D Ware bc we aren’t. Just stating facts. D Ware was one of my favorite cowboys of all time and still is, he just wasn’t what Micah already is.

Sack fumble killed the drive and iced the game buddy. As clutch as it comes. Hurt no less. You can spin your stats all you want, parsons is a step above. He gets the pressure when we need it most. .

Love ware, but he was a nice guy. Rarely coming up with the big play when we needed it.
