Exactly. Agreed 100%. In fact I remember being jealous of the Steelers and Ravens back then bc James Harrison and T Suggs were more of the violent, game changing catalysts that D Ware never was. And this MattJames dude is a complete joke- dunno y the dude thinks we’re hating on D Ware bc we aren’t. Just stating facts. D Ware was one of my favorite cowboys of all time and still is, he just wasn’t what Micah already is.
Parsons is in a different class. Different level. LT level disruption.

People confuse the underachievement of the Wade and Garrett teams with Ware somehow underachieving. Like he just turned the off switch, and decided that he really wasn't going to try so hard on this 3rd down.

Beating 1 pass block out of 4 is a Pro Bowl worthy win rate, and even studs like Parsons only get home 6-8 times a game. Ware won with HOF level frequency, but he couldn't win on every 3rd down. He was the only decent pass rusher on half those Cowboys squads, so when he didn't get home, the QB usually had 5 seconds to throw.

Hopefully his time in Denver showed that Ware wasn't a stat padder, or lacked some #ClutchGene, or some BS like that. He was a baller and brought it every week for Dallas, year after year after year.

7 consecutive seasons with double-digit sacks. 4 first-team All Pros in 5 years. Ware was a monster.

Yeah, well I'm going to ask you the questions again so everyone sees you ignoring them.

1. What player in Ware's prime was better than him?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_2000s_All-Decade_Team

You have Allen (who didn't even make the all-decade team, Ware was chosen over him) and Polamalu

2. How can Parson's be on Donald's level when Parson has had no success in the playoffs, while at the same time, tearing down Ware for lack of playoff success?

Since you can't answer the questions, take your ball and get in your crappy car and go home.

When I was putting together an All-Decade team ahead of the NFL's announcement for some thread, I had Jared Allen as a first teamer. I have no idea how he missed both the first and second team.

Maybe because he split right between the 2000s and 2010s? IDK. For the early 2010s though, he was arguably the best defender in the league.
