Will Romo want to play if Dak rests?

First, I don't know if I'm a fan of resting a rookie QB. I think he needs all the experience he can get. But IF we continue winning and do get the opportunity to rest some of our players down the stretch, would Romo want to play?

I understand he WOULD play. I'm just wondering what his mentality would be towards it. My gut says he's so competitive that he would. I think he'd want to remind everyone he can still play...even if he's auditioning for another team next year.

With his luck he'd get hurt.... killing any chance he has of making it to another club next year.

I don't think Dak will rest much regardless if we clinch the #1 seed, maybe the second half of the Eagles game. Then I'm not sure yet if Romo will play or Sanchez, I'm thinking Sanchez.

Romo needs 3 more TDs for 250 in his career. I think he plays some in Eagles game

I don't rest Dak at all. He is still a rookie and learning on the job. No need to at all. Unless it's for the last half of the Eagles game if it's meaningless for us.

Yeah, Dak will play every quarter of every regular season game.

Since tony has been suiting up and the only bkup I think he plays lol.
Also Dak will continue to play until top seed is secured, if way ahead or seed secure, then they will let tony take over.
depending on the situation, I doubt Tony can shine, as it would be his job to safely run out the clock.
The only time he might pass is on 3rd down.
Again it just depends on the game and situation, as to how they would let Tony play.

If say they put Tony in to start 2nd half, and score was 13-10 dallas they would let Tony play normal and pass whenever and try to score.
If it is 4th qtr, and score is 31-10 dallas I think he just hands it off over and over.

I dont think jerry and gang want tony to get hurt unnecessarily , really it is kinda stupid to have
tony as bkup now, or once we beat giants and maybe tampa bay, we need him ready to go
in playoffs if dak gets hurt.
But at same time tony needs to play and get in the groove.

I know I would rather have Tony as bkup in playoffs, than Sanchez, and even though
unlikely dak gets hurt, it could happen.

He will play, for his good and more importantly for the Cowboys good, teams would be able to see he is still an elite QB and his value will skyrocket in the off season.

Just because Im a fan, I'd prefer he got to play with Zeke and the oline a few series if hes out there.
I do t reallycareabout the WRs, as he's always been able to get the ball to whoever tney throw out there....especially if given time.

Fwiw, I think Dak would have his back just as he has Dak's.
Hed cheer him on a d not feel tnreatened at all at this point.

Dak plays QB so he doesn't need any rest. I would be very surprised if he's even tired at the end of a game this time of the year.

Now, if he has some injuries bothering him, that's an entirely different thing. But, if that isn't the case, Dak should take every snap until we get to Houston, IMO. Put Tony in and let everyone see Tony play like Tony, and the first time Dak wobbles a bit in the playoffs, Tony will be seen as an obvious quick fix. Right now, he's out of sight and pretty much out of mind, and for the sake of the team and the fans, I think it's best we keep it that way.

I hope he gets in to some games for 2 reasons, 1 we clinched it all early and 2 he gets some game action, just in case he's needed...
