If we fail to make the playoffs after starting 6-1, I do not see any way Garrett survives, nor should he.
so nothing?
backup takes reps every week yet looks like that? i don't blame you for trying to distance garrett from that performance. facts are though garrett is a guy who deals exclusively with the offense and his offense let us down 2 weeks in a row.
I find it funny that some people think that we would have beat the Cards with a healthy Romo, because he's only beat them once in 3 meetings.
Who pushed for that backup QB to get signed with the Cowboys? The HC.

ARI pretty much lined up the same way all game and dared Weeden to beat them.

Overrated? Ya the Cowboys surely are because the defense isn't good, and the backups across the board aren't good enough.
Meanwhile Arizona has a ton of injuries on defense, and they dominated the Cows.
What's the difference between finishing the season 6-1 and ending up with the same record? The season should be judged as a whole, and none of this changes the fact that most of the media predictions for this team in the preseason was around 6 wins.
Boo yah?Arizona has a ton of injuries on defense, and they dominated the Cows.
What does one have to do with the other?
Dumb
I don't agree with most of this post, but am only going to bother replying that the team is the 'Cowboys' and not the 'Cows.' 'The Cows' is a derogatory term.
And I think this is a game we win fairly easily with a passing offense. There's no way of knowing, now, though. We're 6-3 and on to the next game. The good part of the season is still in front of us.
Alot of people think we could have easily won this game with a healthy Romo. I'm not so sure because Romo is 1-2 against them throughout his career.
The running game kept this offense in longer down in distances on the early downs, last time I checked that has nothing to do with the QB.
See above.
How is it derogatory?
Opinions, everyone has them...

Because cows are big and slow and stupid and...not bulls. And because people who make fun of the Cowboys use the term as a derogation.
My opinion is based on how the offense has performed this season when we are able to threaten defenses with the run and protect well enough agains the pass. With the protection that Weeden got today, we'd have had a field day on that secondary with Tony throwing the ball. How we've performed in previous seasons or in different locations with different players and using different systems isn't really all that relevant to what we would have done today.
It doesn't matter, though. All teams have injuries, and ours to Romo is not an excuse. I mention it as a factor in evaluating the ability of our team to win big games down the road and not as a mitigating factor in today's loss.
IMO, Garrett has done nothing this year to lose his job, just the opposite...but, if Tony is out, then you get to see if this coaching staff is any good or not...I support Garrett at this point
Before the last scoring drive Weedens QB rating was 24.4, Romo doesn't do that and the threat of his play action actually would freeze a D. Brandon might not deserve a job in the NFL saying healthy Tony doesn't make a difference is insane, based on games played over 3 years ago even more so.

Romo finished with 19.9 QBR vs SF - week 1.
Was he healthy?
