Will Tony Pollard take the RB1 position for good Sunday?

Will Pollard be the starter for the rest of the season?

I voted no, I fully expect KM to abandon the run and go pass happy in Zekes absense. I would not be surprised if Pollards touches actually go down.

No.

Wearing a defense down is a real thing, change of pace is also a real thing. Football has been invaded by folks who want the sport to be finesse/basketball on grass. Wearing a defense down matters, it also matters to defenders. Imagine trying to tackle Zeke in the hole in a winter game through 4 quarters in 30-40 degree weather. They compliment each other..

This game will forever be known as "The Tony Pollard Audition Game."

What an incredible opportunity for the young dual threat player. With Malik Davis as the #2, I think we'll see Pollard get at least 85% of the snaps.

He has a chance to make a massive impact week 8.

22 carries for 120 yards and 5 catches for 40 yards with 2 total touchdowns.

Will Pollard become the new starter after week 8?
It’s not even official that Zeke is out Sunday is it?

Not a chance in hell with Jerry demanding they feature Zeke.

Pollard could put up ridiculous numbers and Jerry will still trot out Zeke as the premier back cause durr I don't want to look like a fool and money blah blah

What's really going to happen. KM will abandon the run game and incoming Dak throwing 40 passes

I have to agree. Pollard will only become the #1 guy if Zeke goes out for the season. If KM abandons the run we will start losing because you have to run the ball in order to win. At least the Cowboys do.

very happy to have a competent Pollard but he is firmly placed as the change of pace back.

Zeke's blocking keeps Dak upright.

Nothing pollard can do to change how they use the rb's. Its been 4 years watching pollard break off long runs and they are finally giving him more than 3 carries a game.

This could potentially be a 150+ game for Pollard if he breaks off a couple of long runs, and gets 20 carries. Even if he did that it still makes more sense to keep the two headed monster scheme at RB going. It gives you more options on offense.
