Will Tony Pollard take the RB1 position for good Sunday?

Will Pollard be the starter for the rest of the season?

I hope to see Pollard have a great game, I do not expect him to take the starting role or better yet I do not see him being used as a work horse regardless if he starts a game or not. I think if you put the workload on Pollard as Cowboys have done with Zeke you would see Pollard numbers actually go down, not up.

I want to see Pollard have a great game, as I want to win the game.

However if he does have a great game, I can see all the slobberer threads on the front page and the .. I told you. so's ... relax, it will be for 1 game.

If he does not have a good game, I hope the opposite is not true, and we get a bunch of ... see he can't do it ... threads.

Pollard had 2 games where he started and played. One game he just could not do it, however the OL was just about all backups, and a back up QB as well.
The other game he was meh...until he broke like a 40 yard TD run. Which Dallas was already leading...so was those garbage yards? ... J/K ...

Pollard seems different this year, he seems to be running with more power, as he has been moving some piles.
I hope he goes for 120 or more yards.

But I still think Zeke plays, just may have limited snaps.

Go Tony!

Seeing how I pull for the Dallas Cowboys and Zeke and Pollard are both member of this team it will be easy to cheer Pollard this coming game. My agenda is simple Cowboys win. Really how the Cowboys work Zeke and Pollard within a game I really do not care it is the end results that matter the most. No doubt I have an opinion on it, I do think Zeke a bigger back can take more of the pounding that comes with the job of RB and I do think if Pollard was forced to take that same load that Zeke has had to do, I think Pollard would not be as effective.

I voted yes, because I didn’t understand the headings. I thought it was one day. No he will not start the rest of the season. Once Elliott comes back it will be back to the same

Jerry and company will stick with Zeke as the number one running back regardless of Pollard posting the first 200 yd game rushing by a Cowboys running back since DeMarco Murray. This will be the start of Tony Pollard's dash for cash as he will most likely demand a hefty contract in free agency.
wrong for one ots nearly an identical split in carries of late, Zeke a #1 only by his starter level presence, better blocker etc etc but there's not favorites being played its depth chart, but the pay calls are nearly even split.. so who cares whose #1 on the depth chart as long as both are being utilized for their veery different skillset.. pollard cant be zeke and vice versa,.

Fans need to STOP pitting players against each other, its Ludacris, they both have equally important and very specific roles on this team.. there no choosing one over the other for real fans , Team game support them all..

If you don't trust a running back to handle the load, then you're not going to give him the load. I think Moore will abandon the run, because he doesn't think Pollard is physical enough to handle the abuse.

I think Pollard can handle it for one game.. It's when he has to do it week after week that it will tear him down. But the Bears have one of the worst run defenses in the league. They're almost as bad as the Lions. They rank 29th and have given up like150 a game on the ground. Pollard should feast on them.. Then again they did trade Quinn who is a terrible run defender so maybe their run D gets a little better this week. I expect Pollard to have a good game. The coaching staff should do what they did a couple of years ago when they held Zeke out against the 49ers.. They should keep playing it up like Zeke is going to play then announce Pollard as the starter on game day. That way the Bears defense has to prepare for both..

It's just stupid fans that do this... and we both know they aint gonna stop. The good news is the players don't do it. When you are part of a a team you are for the team. Zeke and Pollard clearly see each other as brothers and not rivals. You can see it in their interactions and in their reactions to one another's great plays. Anyone who has been on the sideline as part of a football team understands the brotherhood dynamic where you compete and try to outdo your brother.. but you love him just the same and you root for him when he gets his opportunities. Those who haven't make stupid posts pitting players against each other.

zeek is power bra
And....Jerry won't put 15 million on the bench. I think Zeke is playing to discourage a pay cut next season. There are no rb worth 15 million. The market was changing when Zeke signed his contract. The RB market has totally flipped now.

We don't need a work horse in our pass pass offense, this assumption is getting so old

You are correct we don't need a workhorse in this offense nor do we use Zeke as one. But the "assumption" is that we NEED to. Because we win more games when we do.. I think sometimes people confuse wanting to win more games with favoring one player over another.. If we were winning 90% of our games while passing 50 times a game like we do when we run it more than we pass I would be quiet on this front. I call for more Zeke because more Zeke has equated to more wins since he got to Dallas. More Zeke helps the defense, helps Dak, helps the offensive line.. It even helps Tony Pollard because his style takes the starch out of the defense and allows the contrast in speed and styles to be an even bigger problem for the defense.

Because you have a guy who can take to the house at anytime.
Not saying don't us Zeke but just 70/30 Pollard.

I guarantee you after 4-5 weeks of getting 20-25 touches and picking up the blitz another 10-12 times a game that ability to "take it to the house at anytime" will be beaten out of him. And people will be wondering why Malik Davis looks so much quicker and more explosive than him..

Not to mention that he will most likely get injured w/ a lot more touches.

True injury are part of the game and happen. Last year Pollard tore his left plantar fascia and missed a game.
And the chance of injury is always increased w/ misuse of a player. There's a reason why they don't play Prescott on ST's.

Equally, I can already anticipate all the slobberheads heeehawing if he puts up 65 yards at 3.5 YPC, which ironically is what constitutes a “good game” by Zeke these days.
