Will Tony Pollard take the RB1 position for good Sunday?

Will Pollard be the starter for the rest of the season?

I guarantee you after 4-5 weeks of getting 20-25 touches and picking up the blitz another 10-12 times a game that ability to "take it to the house at anytime" will be beaten out of him. And people will be wondering why Malik Davis looks so much quicker and more explosive than him..

How are Henry and Chubbs doing it?

Rut roh, next theory pleaze!

1) Chubb averages over 3 yards per carry BEFORE contact. Meaning his line/scheme is getting him to the linebacker level untouched with stunning regularity.. It's lot easier to gain a lot of yards after contact when the first guy to touch you is your size or smaller.

2) Henry is averaging less ypc than Zeke is and his longest run is shorter than Zeke's longest run.. which by Zone logic means Zeke is better than Henry.

3) Neither of them is asked to block as often as Zeke is as neither of them plays in as pass happy an offense as ours.. . and neither does it as well as he does..

And....Jerry won't put 15 million on the bench. I think Zeke is playing to discourage a pay cut next season. There are no rb worth 15 million. The market was changing when Zeke signed his contract. The RB market has totally flipped now.
you are stuck in 1968 LMAO

because its stupid to put an important player on the bench, so glad fans aren't GMs and coaches..

Zekes still important here and no ONE back especially pollard can keep this run offense rolling .stop being "that Fan" Bench, why would a 2 back system need to bench someone..BTW jerry does NOT decide who plays and who much they play..

somehow you seem to seek out a specific player to be labeled the #1 and bench the other, what world or era are you living in?? the clueless league of sports fans?? ..

why? if thats the case and jerry wants his 15mil back to play have the carries been split nearly down the middle. Why not bench pollard, let zeke eat and Jerry would be happy Zeke racking up 100 yard games as i know he can if h got ALL THE carries in many games the last 2 years.

please get passed your FF world..this is 2 back system, both important and man you are clueless when it comes to sports.. waft to bench a player, why would they, Zeke had important role these first 7 games. Hes actually been great in a slimmed down roll. Pollard has 2 games under 2YPC maybe he should be benched LMAO.

zeke leads this RB room in yards, tds, and over all snaps because he staying on the field a lot to block.. hes technically more important and dont care whose labeled #1 or 2 , why does that matter, it doesn't.. go troll somewhere else.

Luuuuulz. Let me educate you Ronald. Zeke is not even in the ball park of the league leaders in rush attempts in terms of just 10 yard runs, let alone longer runs.

If I actually sorted this table based on most 10+ runs (rather than rush attempts), Zeke would be in the 60s.

Josh Jacobs, Damien Pierce, Derrick Henry (non-exhaustive list) all average 2.4 yards before contact (or less) and still have more 10+ yard runs than Zeke. Saquan averages just 2.6 yards before contact and has 17 10+ yard runs.

Also, the yards before contact stat doesn't even provide the alibi you want it to. All that is saying is Zeke is not breaking tackles and goes down easily after contact. Look at Josh Jacobs. He has the same 2.4 yards before contact, but averages TWICE as much yards after contact 3.4 yards than Zeke's meager 1.7 yards.

Also their bodies are built different from Pollard. Their thighs are the size of tree trunks.

Zeke Boyz bring forward their feelings ("Zeke gets those tough runs...their thighs are bigger...nobody cares about long runs"), but I give you the actual facts/data.

Lol I was referring to Chubb and Henry being able to handle 25 carries a game.

Nothing to do with "zeke boys"
Pollard in a limited role has been banged up every year. Suddenly given a full time role he'll stay healthy?

No. Running back by committee is the way to go.

Bigger question!

Are we giving him too late of a start to make it to the Hall of Fame?

Wait, hasn't Zeke been injured two years in a row now?

Pollard is a complimentary RB. That fact will never change.

Here's some more actual facts/data..

Nick Chubb's team is 2-5
Josh Jacobs' team is 2-4
Pierce's team is 1-4-1
Derrick Henry's team is 4-2

So on above list the only one whose team that has a better record than Zeke's team is Barkley's Giants at 6-1.

Yet you keep telling me how important and impactful these long runs are... yes the guy with the most in the league is on a 2-5 team.. and has only been on a team with a winning record one time in his career.

I say again.. long runs are great and fun to watch.. but in the grand scheme of things, they just have not been shown to be all that important when it comes to winning football games. You can feel free to disagree, but year after year it proves out that long runs do not equate to wins.. Them's the facts.. twist and squirm about them all you want.. but the thing about facts is they don't need your concurrence to be facts..

Three if you count the calf strain in 2020.. But you are using the wrong word .. Zeke is hurt.. not injured. Hurt is feeling pain, injured is "can't play." Football players are pretty much all "hurt" after week one. Injured is a different level.

You heard it here first folks!

Long runs = losing records

Zeke is willing us to a winning record by choosing not to have a bunch of 10+ runs.

Oh Zeke! Your charity and selflessness knows no bounds.

No but they sure as hell don't equal winning records do they which is what you keep trying to peddle here with this anti-Zeke crusade..

No one is saying that they don't WANT long runs.. What I AM saying is you don't NEED long runs to win games. You need to move the chains. The proof is already there but I don't expect you to accept it. But again, the facts don't need your concurrence to be the facts.

Right…right…because every theory you’ve peddled has summarily been dismissed.

Now you’re laughably left trying to create a flimsy correlation between long runs and TEAM win/loss records.

What happened to your yards before contact theory Ronald? Wanna go through those numbers?
