Will you be satisfied with 1 and done?

And the Cowboys have to go on the road (in domes!) twice to get to the Super Bowl! Would be an extremely difficult road to go. The Cowboys can do it, but they needed to have that 2nd seed to have an easier shot. Thats why i think winning a playoff game this year could set us up for next season if we don’t make it all the way.

Hell, we don't even know what is going to happen in the next 10 minutes and you think winning one playoff game is going to make this team better NEXT YEAR?

I understand what you are saying and it is sound, that experience is helpful, but you could have the experience next year and a key player goes down and you are out of luck.

By the way, I don't really think we are going to have to play 2 Dome games to win the NFC unless NO gets itself straightened out, but it is possible and it is a tough road no doubt!

You know it would just be nice to brag about the Cowboys without someone saying that tired phrase every time. But yea, i think the Cowboys match up well with the Vikings but i believe the Saints are going to come out blazing. I would not count them out.

Yes. They will know they can do it. They need to position themselves for the 1 or 2 seed.

Ok...I'm done with your so called logic. It makes absoutely no sense to me...maybe to some others, but not me. I have higher expectations.

And, according to your logic, how come the Steelers are where they are right now? I mean, come on...they just won a SuperBowl! They should be the hottest team right now, right, according to your logic?

What team won a playoff game last year that is a REAL thread to win the SuperBowl this year?

Damn, dude!

So you don't think that the experience that Pittsburgh had helped them win their last few games and have a chance for the playoffs. They had lost 5 straight and turned it around and almost got in!

By the way, they lost their heart and soul of the defense for like 10 games this year and that is what I am saying about this years team for the Cowboys.

HUH? Who the hell is talking about the Steelers? I am talking about the Cowboys. I always have high expectations so not sure what point you are in dissagreement about. The poster i quoted said winning a playoff game ment nothing--i said it does, even if we dont win the Super Bowl. Not difficult logic to follow.

With how they are playing now.... I want to see a deep playoff run. After 13 years, this franchise needs to exercise some demons...

In any game, 2nd place is failure. Always has been, and always will be.

Sorry I disagree. I don't think the Cards were failures last year that team had never seen success and they accomplished quite a bit.

Oh, but they have been good for quite awhile. The Cowboys, not a much. But, if we win ONE playoff game we can rest on that hoping that next season we will win TWO playoff games. Then next season, we win mo, games, mo games, mo games....because we won ONE playoff game this year.

Got it...;)

And you make a good point...just because the Boyz might gain some experience, there is no guarantee about next year. This is the year we are talking about, and winning ONE playoff game means nothing in the grand scheme of things...it just means we won a game. It has no impact on what happens next year...(you brought up the injury).

;)

They lost the SuperBowl. And that is the ultimate prize, IMO. Not one lousy playoff win.

And according to the logic around here, the Cards should win the SuperBowl this year.

;)

After 13 years of not winning a single playoff game. For me, I will be more than happy. But even happier if they go all the way. But if they lose, I'm going to go ballistic.

yes they did that does not make them a bunch of sorry loser, they accomplished alot.

Dallas has been to 8 SB winning 5 yet I take a lot of pride that for much of this franchise history they have been a winning team not a SB every time but have been apart of some of the greatest games played in the NFL I think that means alot.

As for this team if this was the 90's team then yes the expecations were much higher once they were able to get there and win it all but their 1st playoff win after some down years in the late 80's was a big spring board for this franchise and that team.

Considering how low this team has been for a while I would be proud of them even if they came up short knowing that we do have the players who can achive greatness. I'm sure to you they will be nothing but losers

I want this win, this Saturday, over Philly more than almost any other win I've ever wanted in the history of my rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.

I want to win this one so bad.

The Cowboys can beat any team and so long as they give their best effort I will be happy. BUT I want the Eagles DEAD Saturday.

According to logic the Cards are back in the playoffs a team who has not known any success is now a team who knows they can. Not every year is going to be a Super Bowl year that is just the facts of it but being a team who contends on a reg basis is what I call a good team and a team who can achieve the ultimate prize.

I can never figure out posters who say they will be happy with one playoff win! What kind of nonsense is that? What good is that?

That is like taking a girl out on a date and ALMOST getting some!

Hell, no...the season is too long to be happy with just one playoff win...that is so ignorant. I want a SuperBowl...that will make me happy. A loss won't make me angry, but will dissapoint me a little...but, I just move on.

But, to just want ONE playoff win...

Jerry Jones even says "I don't go around singing the blues about not winning a playoff game, I go around singing the blues because of not winning another Superbowl."

relax dude, dont call peoples opinions ignorant.

Picture this. Youve taken girls out on dates for 16 years and never gotten to first base. Your friends all know it. They make fun of you incessantly. You have a chance to go all the way and you dont but you do get to first base finally. It feels good. Its something to build on. Now going all the way is your goal going forward and you wont accept anything less. Now though your friends have to stop making fun of you. Get it now?

Theres nothing ignorant about it. Lighten up.

Well, for all you "one playoff win" guys, if that is what makes your day, makes you happy, then I will be happy for you. However, I wouild not want anyone of you around on any team of mine.

Why do you think the guys on the Cowboys are saying that they have not done anything yet? And, I would bet that if they beat the eagles, they will say the same thing! They arn't ignorant to what is happening right now, nor are they thinking about next year.

Have fun, you one and done folks. I'm happy for you.

Peace.

Hmmm, I wonder if they will be happy to win one playoff game?

I'm happy if you are happy...

Darkhound, while I applaud your support of our beloved Cowboys... there is a 31/32 chance of failure every year...

I think your odds are slightly greater than they should be. Every year (even more this year than in the recent past), there are a few teams that have NO CHANCE of winning a SB, none. And there are seveal more that only have the slightest chance of catching lightning in a bottle.

Honestly, I think it's probably more like a 12/13 or 13/14 chance of failure because there are really only about 13 or 14 teams that have a legitimate shot each year.

And of course, it's now down to a 11/12 chance, and those odds get considerably more favorable after each round! It's on baby!

I did not say anything about winning one and being thrilled to death. Yes I would be happy that we achieved getting over that hump however I don't think this year will be a failure either if Dallas falls shy of the SB. I want it as bad as anyone but I do not think this team will be viewed by most who cover the NFL as a failure by not winning it all and I know I will not view it as some complete failure.
