Just curious to hear if anyone has decided to officially change teams and why

I’m 48 so it’s to late for me, ive suffered for decades but if I was young I would cut my losses now
Im 46
And I ADMIT I did try to change teams... but i cant
So, just like you I will just focus on other things
Until Jerry retires, i wont get invested

Yes, I will stay loyal. I am a glutton for punishment, refuse to turn in my man card for being a fair weather fan and probably just dumb. My family always tries to get me to convert to a Chiefs fan each year…hell no.

Been a fan for 50yrs,it's to late for me also to turn my back on them now,I just hate what they've become over the last 20yrs, gutless wonders.

I'm not a guy who changes teams on a whim. But I've become just a casual fan over the years. I'll watch a game but I won't lose any sleep if I miss one. The last few seasons, I've been content to just know the final score and catch the highlights. I've come to realize that this team doesn't have it. It's been a LONG time since the triplets and the dynasty...

I'll always root for the Cowboys no matter what. I know people don't want to hear it but it's still just a game and even though as fans winning is important I'm not going to obsess over it when my team loses. You have to take the good with the bad in any sport. There's good times and bad ones. Hopefully more good ones. Today's loss was hard to take but I'm already over it and realize there's many fans that stick with teams that have never won a super bowl. I was hoping today would go different but it is what it is and nothing will change the result. I think giving credit where credit is due is important and Green Bay was just more prepared and wanted it more today.

I wish I never had been a Cowboy fan. It don't bother me in them losing, now. I just walk off for a while.

I've been a fan of this team since the mid 70s, and ill always pull for them, but at this stage in my life, I'm nowhere near as fanatical as I used to be. If they win, cool, if they lose, meh, life goes on. Normally, I'd be upset now, but I've gotten so used to this team losing/choking in the playoffs, especially first round, that I just shake my head and laugh.

No, not leaving. Still going to follow the team as well.

Main reason is I didn't wake up one day and decide to become a Cowboys fan. I grew up in a small town that had only 1 television station (actually it didn't have one, but a town 20 miles away did) and that's what we watched. Happened to be the network that carried Cowboys games. Also about that time I lost my father, maybe Landry appealed to me as a father figure, don't really know. But I just developed into a Cowboys fan, wasn't a conscious decision.

So, for me I'd have to abandon the Cowboys and say, "I am now a Texans (closest pro team to me now, and as a native Texan the only other Texas team) fan!"

Can't do that, not the way I think.

So, at age 68 (69 a week from tomorrow) it's Cowboys for me. My daughter now lives in Houston, she's becoming a Texans fan, maybe it'll rub off on me, who knows?

Doubt it though....

I am cursed to love this team I guess. I wish it was as easy as rooting for someone else but it is not.
Ditto for me. Been a Pokes fan since 1960. I love the team and its history while I dislike, distrust, and disrespect the Jones family and what it has done to our team over the past 30 years.

Of course, this is my team both good and bad with a lot more bad lately. As I’ve said the cowboys provide 3 hours for me to escape the real world on a Sunday for 4 months of the year. It sucks when we lose and I’m upset but it’s temporary. It’s not real life.

I’ll always be a cowboys fan

This is a great question. I won’t be able to change teams but I can give up on the league. I did it for the NBA. I can’t stand the NFL. I really think it’s close. I do know one thing I am going to be toxic on these boards to any homers.
You and I are thinking the same way. I do not watch the NBA, it is a joke of league, and the regular season is totally a rip-off. Anyone who knows sports knows that it is just a revenue generator to pay a bunch of overpriced Primadona's to play for several weeks in the playoffs.

Here is the reason the NFL is going down the toilet. Gambling. The NFL is not only condoning gambling, but they are also promoting it. The games are no longer sanctified, they are corrupt. Anyone with a sense of history knows the corrupting effect of gambling on any sport. The integrity of the game is no longer a priority, the only priority is MONEY. How to make the most amount of money for the owners. The game is incidental to the industry of making a few people billions of dollars. You might as well be watching professional wrestling for as much integrity. No one involved in the game cares about winning, they care about making money. Football is part of the entertainment industry, not the sports world. Entertainment by its very nature is designed to extract monies from audiences in exchange for a performance, scripted and full of enough twists and turns to entertain the audience. But it wasn't enough. Now they want more money, not just for game tickets, merchandise, food and drink, sponsorship of everything from tee shirts to dish towels, they want you to bet and for them to get a piece of every dollar wagered.

I am confident that this avarice will result in the ruination of this form of entertainment.
