Will you continue to be a Cowboys fan and why

I will still watch the games. This gets much easier when you don't get too high after wins and don't let bad losses bother you. It's been this way for far too long.

I get high after losses instead of wins personally.

Oh, I think you mean high in a different sense.

Yes, my fandom is not based on this owner, GM, coaching staff, or players. My fandom rests with Tex Schramm, Tom Landry, and the earlier culture.
On brand with your name, haha.

As a young(er) fan, I don’t have those legacy memories to fall back on.

So I’m curious, how do you stay a fan with such a departure from the old prestigious franchise leading to failure after failure?

Always will be a fan but if they don’t bring a real coach in here next year like Harbough or BB then I will be a casual fan next season. Not going to make them appointment TV until they prove they are worth something. I invest way too much time to get kicked in the nuts year after year after year.

Just curious to hear if anyone has decided to officially change teams and why

I’m 48 so it’s to late for me, ive suffered for decades but if I was young I would cut my losses now
I become a Cowboys fan 15 years before Jerry Jones bought the team. I learned everything about the franchise from 1960 before February 25, 1989 happened. Jerry Jones tutelage is not nearly enough to stop me from abandoning my fanship. No way close. I will die a Cowboys fan, no matter what happens to the franchise between now and that event. Nothing.

Same

I know I’ll never stop caring, but I am just done investing.

I’m 36 and have only seen embarrassment after embarrassment.

It’s supposed to be fun, but it’s not for me, so I’m not wasting my time anymore.
He's a scary thought... When I was 36 Dallas was already 6 years removed from their win in super bowl 30. I'm now 58 and would have never thought that 22 more years would pass and I would still be waiting for this franchise to pull their heads out of their butts.

59 YOA here.

Been a Cowboys fan my entire life. At present, just treading water until Jerry lets loose the leash. Jerry doesn't understand NFL football but insists on making the decisions anyway. Until we have someone in charge who is not a dolt, I'm simply refusing to be emotionally invested.

Undecided at this point. 29 years of futility, more of the same on the horizon. I'll be mostly gone until training camp, college hoops and golf are kicking in. Maybe I'll have an interest in August but if I don't there will be college football.

Unfortunately, I'll be back. I've been frustrated (like we are all now) and claimed I'm done with the team, but I just can't quit on them. I'm a Cowboys fan through-and-through. It's frustrating as hell, but my love for them is real.

I day F ‘em every year but of course I’m still a fan! We need to fire Mike, Dan , actually open the wallet in FA and get the obvious missing pieces. Tired of the we are close.

Garrett did that for me. After the 2nd 8-8 is when I stopped giving a damn. Garrett was never qualified to be a HC, and when Jerry hired him I was sold that Jerry wasn't truly invested in trying to win anything. I should have seen the writing on the wall when it was revealed why Jerry hired Parcells.

Done. 50 years of faithfully eating **** from haters and bearing infuriating L’s like today is OVER. This franchise can kiss my ***.

The memories of times past. If I were younger, I would no longer be a fan.

Of course!
I’ve been a fan since 1972 and I had a feeling they were going to lose today. I just didn’t think it was going to be so bad.
