I work from home most of the time. Staying in the house for days on end is pretty normal for me.

That's hollywood stuff with those pictures on Lake Shore Drive. Especially the one with the pedestrian jumping down to the cars.

BTW, here is my before and after.

I heard that. Sandia was having problems yesterday with some of their stuff as well. Water is frozen here at my work. Lots of families all around ABQ with no power or water. It's pretty cold.

Today its turn off the gas day on base. Fun fun

That's pretty much what my Dad described. It took him two days to get it right.

Now I remember why I moved from Nebraska to Texas when I was 21.

Thanks for the reminder.

Good luck to you.

Well, the good news is that this morning here in Albuquerque, it's about 8 degrees, which is about 30 degrees warmer then it was yesterday at this same time. That means that by Saturday, this thing should be clear of Dallas and headed East. However, by Monday, there is another storm moving in so brace yourselves folks. The Super Bowl should be over and you should have a couple of travel days before the weather gets bad again.

This snow just will not let up. I was hell bent on going to work today, didn't realize new snow was coming and as soon as I open up my garage to go to work, I see this  :

All Houston got was ice, but folks don't know how to drive on it. Saw a report of 100 wrecks in just four hours..

*smh*

It was pretty much a dud by my house. Ice in the yard, but the street was clear.

Austin is covered in ice with a layer of snow on top of it. Here's the dogs seeing snow for the first time.

Our pipes are still frozen and we have been out of water since Tuesday and I'm about ready for my Saturday night bath (shower, actually).

Even if they don't thaw out until tomorrow, life is good, anyhow.

Yea, that really wouldn't bother me, either.

Second time in five days we've lost power for 2+ hours in the evening, even though there's no real snow or ice in the area. If this happens tomorrow night during the game, I will kill someone.

Got problems, the heater in our pump house failed and not only did a few pipes burst but also our water pump froze up and burst also. I am going to have to redesign and rebuild our water system. My guess is the intake pipe down at the creek (we drink raw unfiltered creek water) has burst also, further complicating things. I have my work cut out for mr.

Speaking of cutting, temp is dropping again so I need to go cut and split wood for the fireplace, our principal source of heat for the house.

Country life is great if you don't sweat the small stuff.

Life is good.
