All he told me was to not smoke cigs and not drink alcohol or soda for 48 hours. I'm chugging down protein shakes right now. So I'm still hungry although I'm getting a lot of nutrients lol

I bet you got some good pain meds. I'm not gonna lie, I love them.

Maybe this will make you quit smoking. I would.

Nope, no meds. He said Motrin IB should be sufficient. Got some cheap Ibuprofen from RiteAid.

How can you tell if that is different than normal?

I'm not on Novocaine every day, not-smart guy. Mr.-I-can't-enforce-the-rules-without-Bob Sacamano's help.

Did they go through your scrotum like I suggested?

I had my wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago .. it took about 15 minutes and I was back to work in less than two hours pain free and without taking any medication :D

Oh and finger nails on a chalkboard never bothered me .. I know, not relevant but still fun to brag about nonetheless :D

Yeah, it went pretty easy. The worst part was just taking the needle(s) at the beginning.

There's not much worse than getting a shot in your gums. Man it hurts.

Yeah, it's been 3 hours and I'm still numb and puffed up. I don't know if I can go back and get the other one pulled out now, because that needle really stings lol

There are really strong topicals that can be used prior to the needle injection. They do make a big difference. There is an art to medicine (and dentistry, too) and some take extra care to make things more comfortable and some do not, unfortunately.

I barely felt the injection when I had mine done, for example, and it's not because I'm some tough SOB.

Advil can be nearly as potent as T3's.

The other thing to remember is about 20-30% of people cannot metabolize codeine so it is entirely ineffective for pain relief for them.

I'm just gonna wait till the other one starts to come up. That way it'll make the process of extracting the tooth, plus the recovery part, as easy as this time.

I wonder if thats part of my issue with medicine in general. It seems no medicine of any kind has any affect on me. Cold medicines, allergy, pain, etc. Nothing does anything for me, I almost never get sick (once every 2-3 years generally), but when I do, medicine doesn't make me feel any better and doesn't make the sickness go away any faster. It last a week or two then goes away. Its kinda cool to almost never get sick, but sucks because I have no coping mechanism and I'm out of commission much longer than most people.

I had to have all four pulled. They each had to be cracked then pulled out. I was put under for that wonderful experience. I think I couldn't eat solid food for a month because the holes had to be stitched shut. I also couldn't open my mouth for a month because my jaw was swollen.

Other than the time I was left for dead in a ditch, getting my wisdom teeth pulled had to be the worst experience in my life.

All four of mine had to be cracked too but they didn't put me under. I could hear my teeth breaking and feel the massive amount of pressure they had to use. While I didn't feel any pain, the whole process was terrifying. My speedy recovery was then derailed by a case of dry socket that lasted about a week.

Awful experience.
