That's what I said. Landry or Nelson. No typos or botched names.

Both impact players at a need position.

You must forget my post about Nelson being better than Landry. In case you forgot, I am a stellar "one play..I mean one game scout"

No, I didn't forget. That is why I repeated my original order.

They'd better get a solid backup/competitor for Romo at QB. If a decent QB is still available at 22 that might be your answer. The jury is still way out there on Romo.

there's always a few teams that make surprise picks in the 1st round (ex. 2006 buffalo - S donte whitner) so i think we're looking at a realistic possibility that one of the safeties (landry/nelson) or even ted ginn jr. could fall to us

Griffin? No way.... I would rather see them draft Blaylock!

Blaylock's a no-go.... most unathletic dude 'round.... better choice - the cat's flyin' under the radar - gonna be a stud in the NFL - Joe Staley, Central Michigan - this man will play ANY position on the line - kid's gonna be a beast.... AND, he can be had in the second round !

I don't get why alot of mocks have Ginn going top half of the draft...I said this in November:

I agree 100% about Calvin Johnson.

That guy is lights out.

I'm thinking more of our (hopefully) draft position.

Bottom 3rd of the 1st round....Ginn could solve our 3rd WR(or Terry glenn replacement)...KR....PR....emergcency QB.......nickel CB position.

I'm sticking with it...should be there at #22.

if I had to choose from that list, it would be Moss

but I would take Victor Abiamiri at #22

I wouldn't mind Bowe because I like the bigger receivers.

However, Ginn isn't too small. He's about the same size as 4 of the 5 leading receivers in the NFL last season. Just because he has speed doesn't mean that's all he can bring.

unfortunately, that is describing Ted Ginn Jr. to a T

'Just because he has speed doesn't mean that's all he can bring.'

Why is that unfortunate?

sorry, theogt was arguing that just because Ted Ginn is fast, speed isn't his only weapon, and I countered that yes, that is exactly who Ted Ginn is, a player who relies on his speed and nothing else

and yes, I would want Ginn Jr. on my team, as a project at WR and immediate starting PR

Just not in the first round, right?

yeah, cuz there are a number of WRs who we could do that w/, and who we could take after the 1st round:

Johnny Lee Higgins
Craig Davis
Chansi Stuckey

to name a few, but it doesn't really matter to me because we can find a very good pass-rusher and corner after the 1st round too

Well, this is all kind of interesting.

You say Ginn has only his speed to rely on, yet, you don't think he's very fast.

I've seen him play and personally, don't think he's all that fast, looks more like a long-strider to me

You say not in the first round, yet....

I know, WR in the 1st, pipedream, but still...

You say we can get someone like him later, yet....

summerisfunner said:
I hope we draft Ginn

would give us a future long-ball threat to replace Glenn, and immediately add a spark as a PR

You know, just when I had you ridin' shotgun...

if you had to choose between these 5 players that are available at #22, who would you choose?

1. Levi Brown (offensive tackle)
2. Michael Griffin (safety)
3. Justin Blalock (offensive guard/tackle)
4. Jarvis Moss (defensive end/linebacker)
5. Ted Ginn, Jr. (wide receiver)

I'de have to go with Griffin

Ted Ginn, Jr.

jack, Randy Moss is a long-strider too ;)

He is.

But you said: I've seen him play and personally, don't think he's all that fast.

If he's not all that fast, how can he rely on his speed. Speed, according to you, he doesn't have?
