Oh we agree: that is also crazy. I don't know of any other professional team that has the trifecta we have:

1. Jerry is the owner
2. Jerry is the President
3. Jerry is the GM

Love the Cowboys, and I usually don't post anything negative on this site, but Jerry is killing me with his decision making.

Actually firing the coordinator with the HC title while keeping the GM was been tried over and over. I'm for firing Garrett and hiring a real HC and then letting the HC hire his own coordinators and staff.

I am not surprised he is staying and I will not be surprised when he cost us 2 - 4 games next year with terrible game / clock management for an 8 - 8 finish. I guess Jerry like mediocrity. As long as dumb fans spend money on the Cowboys he will not change.

Where's the talent on defense? The offensive line was good last year but where has it been in the past also? I'm sorry but we are weak in a lot of key areas. We got a lot better talentwise last year with a solid center and a good 2nd WR. But we still have a huge lack of talent on defense overall.

Maybe that's the homer in me posting. We've had a ton of injuries and whiffed on a few draft picks IMO which also has led to mediocre records these last few years. I keep thinking of all of those close games that we've lost these last few years. It's like we are right there, but can't get over the hump. It's frustrating to be honest.
