WITTEN. Not Whitten

Right. It just isn't that big of a thing. What is far more troublesome is random capitalization. It strikes where and when you least expect it.

You know... someone is Typing a sentence, and For some reason they just capitalize some Unimportant word.

It can be dangerous.
haha!! seriously, that Is so true..

and good calls, guys, on Irving and Novacheck.. forgot about those..

Dorrsett...Oh that's wrong!

Good Lord...We've got a lot more important things to worry about...Henson for God's sakes is getting cut in Two weeks and you want people to Spell Witten right!

It's HENSEN

lol jk. but i've seen it that way here many times. and HENSON won't get cut.

I can certainly understand mispelling those Eastern European names in sports
like Divac, Novachek, Novitski, Federov, Yastrzemski, Kuykendall, etc.

But Witten? Come on folks.

Novacek. Nowitzki.

And I get where the original poster is coming from. It's not hard to get a guy's name right. It takes minimal effort. If I'm not sure how to spell it, I look it up real quick. I hate spelling people's names wrong.

Let Me put this Very Simply...

He who has NEVER EVER Spelled a Name or Word Wrong Step Forward!

The Line will be VERY Short! As a matter of fact there should be no one in it!

Spelling it wrong once is one thing. Repeat offenders are what get to me. On another board, there's a guy who constantly says Hank Blaylock. He used to say David Delucci. No matter how many times I graciously corrected him, he kept doing it. That drives me nuts.

Maybe he did it just to piss you off...

No, he just did it because he was stupid. He never responded to me like, "oh yeah I'll get it next time" or anything. He just continued on in his blissful ignorance.

Well then maybe he's not Anal like you.

Just because people spell things wrong DOES NOT make them STUPID!

It does if they don't learn after being corrected repeatedly. Maybe it just means he's lazy.

Like I said before, it's not that hard to look it up. If it's a team I follow, I make it a point to at least get their names right. To me it's a respect thing. I don't like when people spell my name wrong. I doubt they do either.

I got news for you...People DON'T Like to be Corrected and definitely Not Repeatedly...Very few people are going to do it if you act like that.

While I do look things up...That's Just Me...Don't call People Stupid or Lazy just because they aren't like you and me. Maybe they Don't Care.

And Just because you do...Doesn't make them wrong.
