Witten update

Let’s hope he doesn’t turn into a hater like Troy did.
Do not or ever devolve into that " Joe Theismann highly concentrated acetic level of hatred" of which any person of reasonable faculties could easily construe yer' implying,,, Troy boy knows he loved playing the COWBOYS game,,, that weed smoking hair parted in the middle tells the learnered eye many tales,,,o_O

So much respect for Witten and everything he stands for. Like them as players or not, it's tough to see Witten and Dez go. They've been a huge part of our lives for many years. They both set great examples for my son - great work ethics and an immense desire to compete and win. I think Witten is making a good decision. The dude won't be able to walk in ten years if he keeps playing.

Good for Witt, he belongs in a ring above the ring of honor

Dude literally gave his spleen for the team. A true warrior. He'll be missed in the locker room. I was hoping he stay for one more year at reduced snaps. Sort of what the Chargers did with Gates past few years. I can't blame him for hanging it up knowing JG isn't going to take the team anywhere. A true Cowboy legend.

Getting too slow to for the NFL but gets to go to a nice cozy booth job that pays well. Good for him. HOF in a few years as well, I'm sure.

Crazy how fast time has gone by though - remember drafting him and being amazed a couple years later when he did some Pro Bowl workouts and he kept up with some of the WRs when it came to the quickness drills.

Won't be another one like him. Romo and now Witten, we truly are in a new era. That's a lot of star power to lose.

I have nothing but respect for Witten and look forward to seeing him on Monday Night Football.

He deserves the best that life after football can possibly offer him. Here's wishing him success.

The team is pretty much a 'rebuild'. I don't blame him for not sticking around for another year and putting his health at risk, especially when you have an opportunity like Monday Night Football come around.

Article I read today said he can be forced to repay 4.5 mill if Jerry demands it
I COPY!,,as I've grown accustomed to digesting the posted contents here on the ZONE that I do read( consume) as straight up factual,,, yeah,I know it's a character defect factoring into that trust category in what a person deems trustworthy in an valued aspect of friendship,,,,, I have a 15 minutes extra block of time on my psychologist as couch,,,if you'd care to somehow express or vent yer' penchant fer' naked jogging?
o_O:lmao:o_O

There was an article or a tweet today that said the check was never cut that when Dallas converts guaranteed money to bonus they don’t cut a check it’s just accounting purposes. I think I explained that right? lol

How many former Cowboys does this make in the booth/studio at a national level?

- Tony
- Witten
- Irvin
- Troy
- Moose
- Deion
- Woodson
- Gil Brandt (NFL Radio)
- Ditka (is he still doing NFL on ESPN?)

Whom am I missing? Not including local coverage...

I don't think Ditka is doing it any more that I've seen, but I'd still count him among the historical Cowboys doing football games as broadcasters.
