Witten update

Yes, that would be the math. So of all the commentators on ESPN, they are bringing in a guy for his first contract and offering him twice what the top ones make?
well its not just any broadcast spot it MNF..i believe gruden was banking for that role..they need to replace a gruden, so they are going after a name and face that can deliver some eyes..

I'm not doubting that. It just seems to me that if you want to disgruntle your staff, hire a newbie in for twice the dough. Just sayin'. It could be the real deal. Just doesn't seem logical to me.

Dang. I think his mind was made up days ago.
its not official until it is..i wish hes come out and say it..i can see its tough choice but he has Romo to call and chat with about the transition..should make it easier

The team is pretty much a 'rebuild'. I don't blame him for not sticking around for another year and putting his health at risk, especially when you have an opportunity like Monday Night Football come around.

The team's far from a rebuild. Offensive and defensive lines are top quality. RB is all pro, QB was ROY in 2016. Secondary overhauled in 2017, and I predict the new receivers will be more productive than the previous additions.

Enjoy retirement 82!

you are forgetting the best one of the bunch......Don "turn out the lights" Meredith
I was thinking active and not past performers (in that case, I could've listed a lot more)...but yeah, Dandy Don was one of the greats. Actually a current one I omitted was Jimmy!?! Big miss!

ROH lock

Probably HOF too, though they're rough on TEs

Epic pro
