My italians were flopping earlier in the day because they heard Suarez breathing behind them!

I would of flopped too!

Shame on you Suarez, that match was going to end up as a 0-0 tie.

What is it going to take for him to get a truly significant ban? I'm talking a full year or so.

His wife can't stay at home when he's on the road. I hate it that he's going to be out, there is a short list of players I enjoy watching more than Suarez.

A few things.
Firstly I'm not saying Ochoa isn't a good keeper or that he won't get a move to a decent club. I was saying it's a bit premature to be talking about him as one of the worlds top keepers.
Secondly that was a definite penalty the Greeks got. Delighted for big Sammy putting them through.
Lastly Monaco is hardly some football backwater. A proper club with genuine pedigree, and a champions league final appearance in the last decade, playing in one of the top leagues in Europe. Football doesn't begin and end with the top 2 in Spain, top 4/5 in England and Bayern

nobody said he was one of the top goal keepers in the world. What i said is he has been the best goal keeper in this world cup. The guy has stopped virtually everything shot at him at point blank range.

My mistake. I thought when you were saying he is the best keeper playing at the world cup as opposed to the keeper playing the best at the world cup.
Didn't think he had a great deal to do against Cameroon and I missed the Croatia game but would agree he was outstanding against Brazil.

In the cameroon game he went up against very little pressure. The Mexican midfield dominated that game. The brasil game he had 6 shots at point blank range. That game was one of the best games i have seen a goalie play. The croatia game he had 2 or 3 shots that he stopped and another 1 or 2 set plays where he went and knocked the ball out of the box. But what gets overlooked is the balls he didnt go after and let his teammates go after. How many times have you seen a goalie go out try to go after a ball thats questionable and he misses and opposing team gets that score.

He's going to need to have a big game for Mex to beat Holland. Im hoping

lol at suarez.
at this point he is almost this tragic hero with a flaw he can't overcome.
as i dislike liverpool so, it is easy to rout (largely) in vain against him.
but biting? in soccer, you have to laugh man.

italy, spain, england all done.

continental advantage is very real.

ochoa made himself millions versus the Brazilians. mexico wasnt even sure to start him not all that long ago. good for him.
while i love to hate el tri when they play the US I support them wholly as a concacaf side against anyone else.

dos a cero!! for life tho!!

If suarez does not get the maximum ban you really know the fix is in.

I'm so nervous for tomorrow . Regardless of what happens we were in the group of death and proved we can play with anyone .We got a bad draw when teams like Greece and Nigeria have gone through makes you envious of weak groups. MLS players on both Costa Rica and USA proved we have a good league . I'm proud of the yanks let's give Germany hell .

Boateng and Muntari have been kicked off the Ghana squad.

Obviously means they aren't playing today vs Portugal

Yes! Looks like there is a lot of turmoil with Ghana right now.

They threatened to not even play against Portugal if their government didn't get them their money.

Losing Boateng and Muntari is huge.

Now it's time for Christiano to put them away!

Let's do this! Round of 16!

Also I heard that the field for the Germany USA game is flooooooooded. Lets do this!

I just heard on ESPN that FIFA is reporting 2 feet of water running in the streets of Natal. Nobody can even get to the Stadium. This game might be postponed.

I'll be shocked if there's a single shot on goal from either team in the USA/Germany game.

If they do play, that could be true but I don't know if that helps us. We really need to beat Germany in order to get a much more favorable matchup in the knockout round.

Ya, it would be a whole lot easier to play Algeria/Russia and then France than Belgium and then France. Hopefully we can pull it off
