Worse owner or GM? Jerry is and always has been one of the best owners in all of sports.

And I concur with the opinion that this is a pretty bad first post.

Cowboys.

At least the Browns are willing to change. They might not have found the right people yet but there is hope that they will. That's much better than being stuck with the wrong people.

Yes they are willing to change, but at the same time you can't put a revolving door on the coaches office. Chudinski, or whatever his name is, never had a real chance. To fire him after one year was ridiculous.

It's still better than being stuck with proven failure till death do you part.

I agree at least Cleveland could luck into the right GM/ HC and be set for a few years. We may luck into a good season if everything falls right.

I mean, how would you feel if the Cowboys announced today that Ray Farmer was the new GM and head of all football operations? Regardless of whether you feel he's the best candidate you'd at least have hope. This is different. Maybe he can be legit.

That's what the Browns fans have right now. Hope. The Cowboys fans, the ones that aren't delusional, have no hope right now. Not because I think it's fun to say it, but because nothing has changed. We try the same thing year after year and get the same result.

We might as well pop a DVD in every September. We've seen the movie. We know the ending.

Exactly right.

Nobody's saying, hey...model your franchise after Cleveland, but I'd definitely take their approach over ours. That's for sure.

You can't really believe that. I guess if your measuring stick is the money he made himself and not the product he puts on the field you could make that point. But as a fan I don't celebrate when jerry makes himself another billion. As someone who runs a team with the goal allegedly to win he is a joke. Browns owner still slightly worse by a nose.

As much as I blame Jerry for so many things.

I would take the cowboys over the browns ANY DAY.

I have lived a few hours from cleveland most of my life and that football franchise is snake bit much worse than the cowboys.

In the cowboys darkest hours they are still better over a period of time than the Browns.

To say otherwise is letting the Jerry hate get to you too much.

The browns have had different ownership, different GMs, different coaches, multiple high round picks and still year after year they fail and do so in a fashion that some browns fans have heard me complain and have said...three 8-8 seasons is a step UP from what they have had to live through recently.

They have no more chance of lucking into a great GM/HC turn around as the Cowboys have at a turn around with some good drafts and breaks.

Since 1999 (the year they came back) they have had Two Seasons where they have had better than 8 wins. In 2002 they had 9 wins and in 2007 they had 10 wins.
In that time period (including the 9 and 10 win seasons) they have averaged 4.8 wins per season.

As bad as Jerry Jones is...the cowboys have been a big step up from the browns.

Ugh...
People really need to learn the difference between an owner and a GM.

We have one of the best if not the best owner in the NFL, there's a reason why the Cowboys franchise is worth as much as it is.

We have a mediocre GM. Jerry is a great business owner, but he needs a real GM to take care of football operations.

Please learn the difference..

Any owner that hires a real GM is a better than the owner who names himself GM.

For me, its that simple.

I completely agree with this. You could not be more correct.

As long as they don't change gears every few months.
