That was a terrible season no doubt but it doesn't top the 3 years of 5-11 by Campo. The sustained ineptitude of Campo is all-time bad. Anyone can have a bad year like the one you are talking about... 1-11 without Tony but Garrett did not sustain that ineptitude the way Campo did. It only took 3 seasons for JJ to have enough of that BS. Garrett managed to be good enough to stick around for 9 seasons. Garrett > Campo.2015. 1-11 without tony. That is a sorry excuse for a hc by any standard. Jg is the tomothy leary of the cowboys. He's on the outside looking in.
Not as bad as 1-5 Wade was in 2010 with Romo starting. The only Cowboys HC with a losing record with Romo starting.2015. 1-11 without tony. That is a sorry excuse for a hc by any standard. Jg is the tomothy leary of the cowboys. He's on the outside looking in.
2016 Garrett was 13-3 without Romo starting and in 2010 was 5-3 without Romo. Was never given the title of DC.Wade Phillips brought his hand picked DC with him from San Diego in Brian Stewart. He along with st coach Bruce Read became the fall guys on the staff after the 08 season.
Do you really count Dak as the backup QB in 2016? I don't, he started 16 games. I think the lesson learned is the talent at starting QB makes a difference. Dak > Romo2016 Garrett was 13-3 without Romo starting and in 2010 was 5-3 without Romo. Obviously the talent at backup QB makes a difference.
totally agree garrett had almost everything you needed to make a superbowl run twice. his awful preparation in getting his team ready for the playoffs to me was just unreal. worst coach ever. if campo would have had a qb like romo he might have made the playoffs one year. the cowboys had a good defense but no qb to make a good offense work.Campo has no talent. Those teams were terrible. Jason Garrett wasted multiple HOF careers. He had good to great QB almost the entire run. 10 years and almost nothing to show for it.
Worst coach in team history.
Yes, he was the backup all the way until near the end of season when Romo was not brought back in when he was cleared to play.Do you really count Dak as the backup QB in 2016? I don't, he started 16 games. I think the lesson learned is the talent at starting QB makes a difference. Dak > Romo
He was a backup coming into the preseasons but that all changed before the season got started.Yes, he was the backup all the way until near the end of season when Romo was not brought back in when he was cleared to play.
That might be how you saw it but technically while Romo was recovering from his injury most thought Romo would return at some point. Certainly Daks 11 game winning streak impacted that decision. He was a backup coming into the preseasons but that all changed before the season got started.
... whatever. You think because that's the way you perceived it, that's the way it was. Romo was a clown. I was happy to see him get up after he crumbled in that preseason Seattle game. But I knew Dak would take us to the playoffs if given the opportunity. I always looked at him as a better QB than Romo but in case any of you Romo worshipers doubted that he proved it and made Romo himself admit Dak was the man for that job. That might be how you saw it but technically while Romo was recovering from his injury most thought Romo would return at some point. But until the decision was made to stay with Dak when Romo was cleared to return is when I begun considering him the starter.
I was a Romo critic too.... whatever. You think because that's the way you perceived it, that's the way it was. Romo was a clown. What do you expect me to say, "my perception is wrong and you are so right"? No, there is no sin in me saying what I said.I was a Romo critic too.
Anazing that you criticize me for following my beliefs or perception while stern on following your own. Lol
I really don’t see Dak providing any more opportunity than Romo. Time will tell. Maybe we can surround Dak with a stronger supporting cast. What do you expect me to say, "my perception is wrong and you are so right"? No, there is no sin in me saying what I said.
If you were a Romo critic then you know we weren't going anywhere with him starting. He made games interesting and some seasons he made the Cowboys relevant when they would not have been otherwise. But he also cheated many terrible Cowboys years out of great drafting position the following preseasons.
