I guess I didn't write my thoughts out well. I saying exactly that. I think WE are the team no one wants to meet. WHO would want to play us? I can't believe anyone would.

All good man... Just the fan in me giving my two cents...

Yes it did. We see these threads Every. Single. Week.

We are 11-1 and clearly the best team in the NFC and all I see is how scared people are of average teams well below us. This tuck your tail between your legs mentality of so many is weak. These teams should fear playing us in our own stadium, not the other way around.

There is no worst team to meet. Everyone we meet will be a tier below us.
I didn't realize the question had already been asked.

Can you link any previous post that asks which teams would want us in the playoffs? Any thread that asks the mentality of other post-season teams in regards to having to play the Cowboys?

I'm not picking at you. I feel like I have a terrible title and you didn't read my post. Or, I worded my post terribly. But you're making the same argument I tried to make.

I've read a lot about which teams we would prefer to meet in the playoffs at each level.

Who do you think these other NFC prefer not to meet? Those hoping their AFC team makes the superbowl... surely they have a preferred opponent as well. Does anyone want to face the Cowboys ?

Is there any team out there that thinks the Cowboys are the team they match up the best against?

Surely we are the scariest team out there right now. Opinions?

Edited to add: I must have worded this poorly! I'm not asking who WE are afraid to meet. I'm asking, are WE not the team that everyone else is afraid to meet?
No, until we show that we have a defense that can stop really good offenses without help from the our offense. All you have to do is watch the Vikings game and with an average offense you can handle the Cowboys.

To me Detroit seems to have a decent offense and a defense that keeps them in games.

Stafford would love to get a shot at us after losing to us in the playoffs in 2014.

That's the team that worries me.

TB is another to beware of.

No offense but I hate this weak sentiment and attitude. The story is still unfolding and it's still too early. Why are we discussing who we're afraid of? Let's win the division, secure HOF and then look at these things. My point is we still don't even know who is and who isn't "scary" just yet. The entire situation changes every week.
If "we" is the fans then who cares what we discuss. If "we" was the players on the team then I can understand your point. This is a Cowboys fan board where we discuss various topics in the minds of fans. We don't need to secure Home field or anything. The Cowboys players and coaches do.

I get if you want to isolate yourself in your bedroom clinging to your Cowboys bedsheets and curtains while refusing to even think about anything past next weekend.
The other fans enjoy discussions about our favorite team and how the rest of the leagues teams match up with ours.

Worst team to meet? Ourselves. If we play like we our capable than the only team that can beat us is us making mistakes.

Seattle and Greenbay would be tough games still.

I don't know that I'd say anyone necessarily scares me. I think the Cowboys are more than good enough to beat any of the teams they face. But there are a couple that will be very tough match ups.

I think when you hit the playoffs you just assume every game will be tough. It is a one game winner take all and loser goes home. Whom ever the Cowboys play they will need to bring their A game, if they do that then I like our chances vs any team.

You have to have the tightest underwear ever.

No one gets more upset about conversations like this than you. You get pissy when the media isn't calling us the greatest ever, you get mad when the media points out some flaws we have, you get mad when someone suggests we might lose a game, and now you are mad about people talking about potential matchups in the playoffs that could be problematic for us.

It's bizarre how you bristle at stuff like this constantly.

I agree. Besides, if we're all that, we shouldn't be scared to play any team.
All the teams that make the playoffs are going to be good teams. If we're the best, we'll beat them, especially since we're playing at home.
I'm not scared of any team. Then again, I don't have to lace up pads and play. ;)

I bet if this thread were made on the falcon's, seahawk's, Detroit's, and TB's message boards, they'd all say THE DALLAS COWBOYS.

I don't usually criticize football commentators because they're only giving their opinion. But I just heard Donothan (intentional spelling) McNabb say that the Cowboys could play the Lions and the bad call last year (where the refs negate the pass interference flag committed by Dallas) may come back to haunt Dallas?

I'm like, "Huh?" That call will have no bearing on what happens in any subsequent game we play against the Lions.

ATL and GB could both hang 40 on us, and I don't like trying to beat a team 3 times. Especially WAS, who could have beaten us in both games.

Are we going to change our style of play or something? If not nobody is going to put 40 on us.

The scary Commanders had a whole 6 points before the 4th quarter.. I don't get why you guys are so scared of them.

This. Lions (and TB) scare me the most. Stafford is quietly having an MVP season, and is finally able to spread the ball around (with Calvin retired). TB is also a dark horse. Still, we are better.
Lions for me too.

That team just gets in the way. Total PITA.

It never does anything it just makes life miserable for other teams by winning games they shouldn't win.

They've been doing it for years.
