how else do you established your market value before you get down to negotiating/re-signing your future contract ?

how do you think Dlaw established his market value towards his re-signed contract with two back to back banner years in a row ?

Zeke led the league in rushing 2 out of 3 years (and would have been 3 out of 3 if not for goodell and his BS) in his ' past " years.

Seems like you are just trying to eek out some kind of justification for all that money. And you know that saying he will be worth it over the next 5 years would be ridiculous.

This contract was about what Zeke will bring to the table over the next 3 to 5 years. Its about Jerry paying him for how important he will be to this team going forward.

Obviously you base those projections on past performance.
